Begin by finding a comfortable position seated or lying down.
Allow your eyes to gently close.
Take a deep breath in and a slow breath out.
This morning there's nothing to fix,
Nothing to rush,
Just this moment and this breath.
Inhale slowly through your nose,
Holding it gently at the top and exhale softly through the nose.
Again,
Inhaling deeply,
Feeling your belly,
Your chest,
Pulse,
Exhaling long,
Slow and completely.
Continue with this deep round of breath.
Feeling your body begin to soften,
Allowing the weight of the upper back,
Allowing the weight of the shoulders,
Soften away from the ears.
Notice the support that your breath brings you,
The stillness around you,
The silence around you,
The quiet beginning of a new day.
Now bring your awareness to the top crown of your head.
And slowly scan down through the body,
Your eyebrows,
Your temples,
Your facial muscles,
Your jaw,
The tops of the shoulders,
The chest.
And as you go down the body,
Release any tension you may find along the way.
Soften the belly,
The abdomen,
Soften your hands,
Palms,
Fingertips.
Relax your hips,
Your legs,
Your feet.
Now turn your attention to the rhythm of your breath,
Allowing it to flow steady,
Calm,
Effortlessly.
Now gently begin to invite a feeling of intention.
Ask yourself quietly,
How do you want to feel today?
What would support you in moving through this day with ease?
And as you think about the questions,
Let an answer come.
An answer,
Not necessarily from the mind,
But from the body,
From the signals,
From the feeling you're getting.
Let it settle in your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your spine,
Your whole body.
And exhale any resistance,
Any blockages or self-doubt.
Now slowly bring the awareness back to your surroundings,
Noticing any sounds,
Feeling the air against your skin,
Feeling the weight of the whole body.
Start to wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
And if you feel like it,
You can take the arms over your head for a full body stretch.
When you are ready,
You can slowly open the eyes.
And allow yourself to carry this grounded presence and mindful breath with you into the day.
Thank you for listening today and coming along this journey with me.
I wish you a great day ahead.
