Hello and welcome.

I'm Skylar Liberty-Rose.

Thank you for joining me today for a meditation to honour the Fall Equinox or maybe if you're outside of the US,

You'll call it the Autumn Equinox.

I am British,

So I used to say Autumn,

But I've lived in New York for 10 years,

So I've gotten used to saying Fall now.

Before we begin,

For anyone who might not know,

An equinox is when day and night are almost the same length,

And this happens twice a year,

In springtime and then again in the fall.

There's a lot of symbolism attached to an equinox.

It's much more than just a shift in weather.

It's a crucial moment of balance in nature,

The balance of light and dark,

Activity and rest.

So it's a really great time to connect with nature and also to reflect on what we might like to bring into our lives and what we might like to let go of.

So let's get started.

Please take a moment to get comfortable.

Close your eyes and begin to connect with your breath.

Inhaling and exhaling at your natural rhythm,

Noticing how your body already knows what to do,

How your body is naturally disposed towards balance.

Inhale and exhale.

In and out.

Such a familiar rhythm for your body.

Notice how supported your body is by the earth beneath you,

How held you are.

Feel the connection to the earth beneath your feet or whatever part of your body is connecting to a surface and really relish in that embrace of being supported.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs with air and then exhale slowly through your mouth.

And again.

Deep inhale,

Filling up and exhale,

Letting go.

One more time.

Deep breath in and soft,

Slow breath out.

Now allow your breath to be easy,

Continuing in your natural rhythm,

Each breath bringing you deeper into the present moment.

Now I'd like you to picture the way that nature is beginning to shift into the next season.

Think of the leaves turning colour,

The air becoming crisper and fresher and how effortless this transition is.

With every inhale,

I'd like you to imagine breathing in that fresh,

Energising air.

With every exhale,

I'd like you to relax your jaw,

Your shoulders,

Your fingers a little further.

Picture the vibrant colours of fall,

Deep oranges,

Burnt reds,

Soft yellows.

Allow the warmth of these hues to envelop you,

Creating a cocoon of comfort and serenity all around you.

Feel the energy of these colours spreading through your cells,

Inviting you to go with the flow of change,

Reminding you of all the beauty to be found in transition.

Now shift your focus to what you wish to let go of this season.

As you breathe in,

Gather any thoughts or emotions that no longer serve you,

Any worries,

Fears or doubts.

Hold this energy for a moment,

Acknowledging it without judgement.

As you exhale,

Release it into the earth.

Imagine it being absorbed by the soil,

Transforming into nourishment for new growth.

Let this process symbolise your journey of letting go,

Transforming the old into the fertile ground for new possibilities.

You can continue to repeat this process with each inhale and every exhale.

Allow yourself some time to enjoy this ritual of letting go in an unrushed way.

I'm going to give you a moment or two here to go at your own pace.

Now that you've created some space,

I'd like you to bring to mind what it is you wish to cultivate,

What yearning is calling for your awareness and attention.

Perhaps it's a hobby or a passion project,

Perhaps it's self-acceptance or a commitment to your personal growth.

There may be a few thoughts that float up.

I invite you to choose one intention to focus on,

The thing you'd most like to turn your energy toward at this time.

Visualise this intention taking root within you,

Like a seed planted in the rich fertile earth.

With each breath,

Imagine the seed of your intention growing stronger,

Nourished by your loving care.

Nature teaches us that everything can be alchemised,

Everything can be poured back into the renewal and regeneration of something else.

Even if you find that you've strayed from the path you set for yourself at an earlier time this year,

Please know that nothing is wasted.

Every experience you've had is fuel for the future.

And here,

On this equinox,

This most symbolic of days,

You get to steer yourself back to what matters to you.

You get to re-centre and re-commit to what you want for yourself.

And just like the leaves that know it's their time to fall,

You get to let go of anything that's not serving you at this point in your journey.

Take a deep inhale.

Take a slow exhale.

Be with your breath.

Be with your intention.

Remember,

Nature inherently knows what to do.

And you are nature.

You know what you need.

You know how to nourish yourself.

You've got this.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

This seasonal ritual,

I'd like you to very slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the space you're in.

Wiggling your fingers and toes.

Feeling a renewed energy circulate throughout your body.

Feeling the connection to the earth beneath you.

Knowing that there's never a time when that connection isn't there.

And knowing that you can tap into that connection,

Day or night,

At any given moment.

And you will be heard.

And you will be held.

In your own time,

Gently open your eyes.

Reconnect with the space around you.

Perhaps take a sip of a drink or stand and stretch.

I'd like you to take a moment to give gratitude to yourself for dedicating this time to your well-being and to the balance and abundance that the Four Equinox brings.

And I'd like to express gratitude to you too for joining me for this magical time.

I hope you feel a sense of restoration and resolve for this turn of the season and all that it has the potential to bring.

Keep the intention that you set during the meditation close to your heart and keep breathing life into it.

Remember,

All things are still possible.

And please leave a comment and share your intention with me.

I'd love to hear what you've decided to let go of or invite more of into your life.

And just to let you know that every time someone shares their intention with me,

I send out a little extra intention into the universe to help bolster your own.

I am sending love from my heart to yours.

May you continue to be guided by nature.

May you continue to feel supported on your journey.
