Close your eyes and begin to focus on your breath.
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Hold the breath for a moment and then exhale through your mouth,
Letting go.
Once again,
Inhale,
Hold,
Release.
As you return to breathing normally,
I'd like you to visualize the sights,
Sounds and sensations that the festive season can bring.
Recognize that while it can be joyful,
It can also be overwhelming.
Acknowledge these feelings without judgment.
With each breath,
Imagine inhaling a bright,
Warm light.
This is your center,
Your peace.
Visualize this light filling you up,
Expanding in your heart and grounding you.
As you exhale,
Imagine letting go of any stress or anxiety.
As you exhale,
Imagine letting go of any stress or anxiety.
Release it completely,
Letting it dissipate into the air.
Focus on the present moment.
Feel the ground beneath you,
Supporting you.
In the flurry of festivities,
Remember that you can pause and come back to this feeling of groundedness.
As you breathe in,
Affirm to yourself,
I am centered,
I am calm,
I am present.
And as you exhale,
Let go of the need to be perfect or the pressure of expectation this season might bring.
Picture a serene place that brings you joy and comfort,
A sanctuary just for you.
It could be a cozy room,
A peaceful outdoor space,
Or anywhere that feels safe.
Envision this place and allow it to surround you with warmth and tranquility.
Know that you can return to this sanctuary whenever you need to find calm amidst the noise.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Let each inhale fill you with peace and ease.
With each exhale,
Release anxiety and tension.
Allow any holiday clutter in your mind to dissolve.
In this moment,
It's just you and your breath.
Begin to shift your focus back to the environment around you.
Before you open your eyes,
Take one more deep breath in.
Filling yourself with light and let it out slowly.
Grounding yourself in the here and now,
Reaffirming that this peace is within you.
When you're ready,
Softly open your eyes and take a moment to notice how you feel.
Carry this sense of calm with you into the festive season,
