Start by standing,
If you can,
And ground your feet.
Your spine lengthened and your shoulders relaxed.
If it's a safe space for you to close your eyes,
Then close your eyes or just soften your gaze.
Take a breath in through your nose,
Allowing your lungs to fully expand.
Feel the breath reaching all the way down to your belly,
Creating a sense of fullness.
Slowly exhale,
Letting the breath leave your body as you release any tension you may be holding.
Repeat this a couple more times,
Each time inviting a little more calm with each inhale,
And a little more release with each exhale,
Letting out a sigh.
Allow your breath to return to a natural steady rhythm,
Bringing your attention to the sensation of the breath,
Feeling the air moving in and out.
Noticing the coolness of each inhale and the warmth of each exhale.
Silently or out loud,
Say to yourself,
I am here.
And on each exhale,
I am steady.
Let the words anchor you as if you're planting roots with each breath,
Grounding yourself fully.
I am here.
I am steady.
I am here.
I am steady.
I am here.
I am steady.
As you breathe,
Let your awareness gently expand.
Feeling it into the entire space around you.
Notice any sounds,
Whether distant or close.
Feel the temperature of the air against your skin,
The texture of the surface beneath you and the weight of your body being held in place.
Allow yourself to feel supported by the ground,
Trusting you are safe and secure right here.
Observe any thoughts or worries that arise without judgment.
Simply watch them pass by,
Letting them flow without getting carried away.
Return to your breath,
To that gentle rhythm that reminds you of your inner steadiness.
Each inhale gathers calm,
Each exhale lets go of what you no longer need.
Place your hand on your heart if that feels right for you,
Offering yourself a moment of warmth.
Acknowledge your presence,
Your intention to find peace and the sense of composure settling in.
With a gentle inhale,
Feel that composure expand filling you with a calm,
Centered energy.
Feel your roots and feel anchored.
As you exhale,
Softly open your eyes or bring your awareness back to the room or wherever you are.
Notice how you feel.
Repeat to yourself,
Grounded,
Composed and ready to meet my day with clarity and ease.
Grounded,
Composed and ready to meet my day with clarity and ease.
Walk into your day and have the best day.
Thank you for being here.
