Begin by finding a comfortable position,
Allowing yourself to arrive fully in this moment.
Gently close your eyes and take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Filling your chest and belly with air,
Holding for a moment and then releasing it softly.
Fill yourself,
Sink a little deeper,
Continue with a more deep breaths like this,
Each one a little slower,
A little gentler than the last.
With each breath,
Allow any tension in your body to melt away,
Soften your shoulders,
Unclench your jaw and let yourself rest into the earth beneath you.
There's nothing you need to do right now,
There's nothing you need to hold on to,
This is a space for you to be,
To heal,
To release and to move on.
As you breathe,
Imagine a warm,
Gentle light surrounding you,
It feels safe,
Comforting and full of love.
Let this light fill the space around you,
Creating a kind of cocoon,
This is your sacred space for healing,
A place where you are completely held,
Protected and supported.
This is a space where you can journey inwards,
Where you can meet yourself with compassion and where it's safe to let go.
As you rest in this space,
Allow your breath to settle back into a natural rhythm,
And let your mind gently drift back in time,
Inviting memories of the person you were.
You might remember specific moments or you may just feel a sense of this version of yourself.
Let the image of your past self come to you naturally without forcing.
Trust that your heart and your mind know exactly where to go.
And imagine this version of you standing before you now,
They might look exactly as you remember,
Or they might feel like a presence,
Like a familiar energy.
See them as though you're meeting an old friend.
This was the person you were.
The person who lived,
Dreamed and faced life before everything changed.
Notice what feelings come up as you look at them.
Do you feel a sense of love,
Compassion,
Or even sadness that they've gone?
Allow any emotions that arise to simply be without any judgment.
Remember that these feelings are all a part of honoring your journey.
Look at this version of yourself closely.
See the light in their eyes.
See the innocence they carried.
The strength they had.
Even if at the time you didn't know it.
Remember what you loved,
What you dreamt of,
What brought you joy.
Allow yourself to recall all the qualities that made you who you were.
And know this,
This person,
This version of you was the caterpillar self.
The one who hadn't yet gone through the transformation you have experienced.
They lived in a world before the trauma.
Before the pain that would change everything.
That version of yourself carried you here to this moment.
Doing the best they could.
Navigating life with the knowledge they had.
Take a deep breath here and as you exhale,
Allow a feeling of deep gratitude to fill your heart.
This old version of you gave you so much.
So much strength,
So much resilience.
Even in the challenges.
Thank this old version of you.
You could even say thank you for all that you gave me.
Thank you for your courage.
Thank you for carrying me to this moment.
Allow yourself to feel the depth of this gratitude letting it fill you.
Imagine reaching out.
Maybe even placing a hand over your heart.
And feeling a warm connection between you and this past self.
They have done so much,
Carried so much and now it's time to let them go.
Thank them for their journey.
Knowing that their essence will live on inside of you forever.
Gently allow yourself to say goodbye now.
Know that this isn't a goodbye of loss,
But a release.
A letting go that is full of love and respect.
It's an honouring,
A final thank you to the person that you used to be.
Imagine this past self softly fading as though they're stepping back into the light.
Their energy merging with the warmth and love surrounding you.

You said goodbye to the version of yourself that you no longer are.
So you can finally transform into the person you have now become.
You are going to step into your power.
