Samaneri Jayasāra is a Buddhist nun in the Theravadin Forest Tradition. She has studied and practiced Buddhism and meditation in various capacities for over 35 years. She has a PhD and Masters degree in Education focusing on comparative spiritual traditions, Buddhism and psychotherapy. Jayasāra resides at Viveka Hermitage in NSW, Australia.

Years ago, I was participating in a drumming shamanic journey and found this still point, in the present, moving edge of my breath and each beat/sound of the drum. As I held steady there, the experience of that particular journey unfolded. I discovered the still point. I remember and forget and remember this place that is and isn't a place. This meditation reminds me and I get to be with it. Thank you.
