Hello friend,
Welcome to this short meditation for overcoming worries and getting relief from anxiety.
Just listening to my voice and giving yourself permission to have this time for yourself,
Just for you.
Your system deserves rest,
It deserves peace during these times,
Self-compassion.
Just noticing your body for now,
Realizing that it's here for you during these times,
Doing all the work it does every second of the day.
Noticing your heart beating,
Noticing your chest rising and falling,
Your body is pumping fresh oxygen around every second,
Feeling supported with all that it does,
A phenomenal organism.
Just noticing your brain,
With a gentle distance,
A separate awareness.
These thoughts,
These belief systems,
These worries,
They are not you,
You are not your thoughts.
They are only here to try and protect you,
An evolutionary protective response,
But this very protection can leave us coiled up through analysis,
Going around and around,
Exhausting us.
I have compassion for you,
It's not your fault my friend.
Let's use the powerful breath to uncoil,
Breathing into the mind on the inhale,
And uncoiling your worries on the exhale.
Breathing in fresh energy on the inhale,
Breathing out all stale worries,
With a particular emphasis on letting go and letting be,
Letting go with self compassion.
These worries are not intentionally trying to hurt you,
Uncoiling,
Unravelling,
Opening your mind and in turn,
Opening the light that is already inside of you,
Brilliant.
When you're ready,
Just moving your body around,
Waking yourself back up,
Having gentle compassion for yourself.
It can be difficult having worries,
I absolutely understand,
Everything will absolutely be okay,
More than that,
It will be great.
Look at that then,
Opening your eyes,
You've done great,
