
Experiencing Clarity

This is a guided visualization to move towards clarity. It walks you through a simple and easy visual to help you feel clarity. Feeling and experiencing clarity during this meditation can help you to remove false beliefs and create new pathways.

Thank you for joining in this meditation.
We're going to focus on clarity.
Achieving better clarity will help you to feel empowered,
Focused,
Mindful,
Aware,
Present,
And at peace.
With better clarity,
We have an improved capacity to make decisions,
To set goals,
And to take steps and actions that will get us closer to fulfilling true alignment.
Alignment with ourselves,
Alignment with the world,
And alignment with our purpose.
We're going to experience the feeling of clarity by walking through a simple visualization.
Follow along and relax.
Let's begin by getting into a comfortable position.
Adjust your spine and shoulders.
Lengthen your neck and gently bobble your head until it rests in a comfortable position.
Imagine that your nose is drawn upward just slightly,
Helping you to feel optimistic.
Next,
Visualize a string tied from your tailbone through your spine,
Through your neck,
And up to the top of your head.
As you again lengthen your spine,
The string is pulled taut and you feel supported in this position.
Breathe first with a shallow breath and begin to recognize your lungs and your diaphragm.
Just below your lungs,
Each breath is pressing downward on that diaphragm.
With each breath out,
The diaphragm moves upwards to provide continued support.
Lengthen your breath and recognize again the feeling of your lungs expanding and a contrast when you breathe out.
Continue that mindful breathing through the end of this meditation.
When we think of clarity,
We have the impression that we need to know the answers in order to visualize the clear path.
We have false beliefs that come up telling us to organize our future or to set goals to reach that clarity,
But in reality,
We need to feel the clarity in order to know where we want to go.
We need to be able to embrace what it feels like to have a clear mind,
To have clear thoughts,
And clear impressions in order to reach that clear intuition.
Another misconception is that we need to have processed all of our grief,
All of our confusion,
All of our judgments and negative past experiences in order to feel that present clarity.
I'd like to offer to you a different path to achieve clarity.
While we're in this meditation,
I hope that you're able to get a glimpse of what that clarity feels like for you.
In a way,
You could say that the clarity we are working towards comes through being in alignment.
Again take a deep breath and continue those mindful breaths throughout the meditation.
Visualize again the string at the top of your head being pulled tight,
Allowing you to sit comfortably and supported.
Know that there are no judgments in this moment.
You are at the exact place in your life where you should be.
Imagine that we're standing together in front of a work of art,
In a huge art museum.
The work of art stretches from wall to wall and from floor to ceiling.
The frame has long straight defined edges.
It has right angles along the corners.
Visualize within the frame an abstract color and shape.
The colors and shapes are dull and blurred.
They're unclear and even somewhat confusing,
Yet the overall effect of the painting feels familiar.
Because of its size,
It takes time and attention to take in the various moments and movements of blurred areas.
Your brain wants to make sense of it,
But over time you can see that it's still abstract and unclear.
Take with me four breaths,
Accepting the picture as it is and even feeling love and appreciation for what it is.
Your feelings of the picture begin to feel like admiration and awe.
It is evolving into something that makes you feel comfortable rather than confused.
It feels familiar still,
But now also beautiful and inspiring even.
Take again four complete breaths,
Taking in the beauty and the vastness of this work of art.
Feeling settled and peaceful because of this picture,
The shapes and the colors begin to come into more focus.
You can see bright yellow and light brown.
You see dark and light green.
You see blurred edges beginning to take shape.
The vibrance of the colors continues to increase and you can now see shading and light.
Soon it becomes clear that the picture is of a field of some sort.
It involves mostly flowers and grasses,
But also vibrant sky.
You can see the flowers begin to take shape and even look as if they could grow right off of the canvas.
The grasses show movement and look as if they're blowing in the wind.
The blue sky is steady and bold and it feels warm and comforting.
You begin to see shading in the picture,
Small details increasing the depth of the scene.
With these minute details jumping off the canvas,
You're able to take in the thoughtfulness that has gone into this creation.
Imagine now taking a step back to admire the work of art as a whole.
It feels so clear and so real that you can almost smell the flowers and smell the grass,
The dirt and the leaves.
You can practically feel the breeze on your skin and on your face and the warm sunlight on your shoulders and on your head.
Get with this feeling and embrace it.
You may feel enlightened having taken in this magnificent scene.
Notice the emotions and the feelings that you have.
You may notice that this work of art represents you as an individual.
We've created a feeling that you can now harness to feel clear on your path.
This is a space that you can come back to,
One that can feel familiar,
One that can feel inspiring and comfortable,
One that can feel empowering.
We don't always need to know the details,
The shapes or the colors.
If we can first embrace the feeling of where we want to go and where we are,
The clarity will come naturally.
With this simple visualization,
We've been able to clear pathways,
Pathways that can help us to feel that clarity.
We've been able to help process false beliefs.
Feel free to return to this meditation to help you to practice feeling that clarity and to help continue to make those pathways to help you feel in alignment and centered.
