In this meditation we will focus on peace and comfort.
Peace within your expansive mind and comfort throughout your capable body.
Begin with your arms by your sides and your hands resting on your lap.
Enjoy a deep breath.
Breathe in and a slow breath out.
Gently tilt your head left to right as you guide your ears slightly towards your shoulders,
Alternating sides.
Left ear to left shoulder,
Right ear to right.
Move at your own speed.
Make the movement smaller as you eventually find stillness in the center.
Relax your jaw and let your tongue leave the roof of your mouth.
Focus now on your breath.
Each breath moves through your limbs bringing awareness and light.
The movement of the breath settles now through your core.
Imagine that every thought that you had throughout the day is scattered throughout your entire body.
They range in size and shape and color.
Some of these thoughts serve a purpose for you and some of them do not.
Visualize a huge filter the size of a hula hoop descending over your head towards your ears and shoulders.
Passing down to your gut and your hips,
Your legs and your feet and on into the ground.
With the filter,
Many of the thoughts of various sizes and shapes and colors are caught and pulled completely from you and down into the ground.
These are the thoughts serving no purpose and of no use to you.
Feel assured that the useful thoughts will be left to serve you for as long as you need them.
Again visualize a large filter descending over your head making another pass through to filter any remaining thoughts that don't serve you.
Notice the lightness of your body and your mind.
Next imagine that every thought that you have had throughout the whole week is scattered throughout your body.
Again they range in size and shape and color.
Many of these thoughts are not serving a purpose.
Visualize your filter descending again over your head towards your eyes and your ears,
Your shoulders,
Your gut and your hips,
Your legs and your feet and on into the ground.
Many thoughts of various sizes and shapes and colors are caught and pulled toward the ground.
You're now feeling much lighter and more capable,
More confident with your ability to focus and discern which thoughts in the present and the future will serve you and will fill you with peace.
Your body is comfortable and enlightened with its lighter load.
Enjoy a few more deep breaths in this space.
Reflect on this tool throughout the day and night and as you leave this meditation.
Remember that your body can recreate this filter as needed in meditation and out.
