Let's start this meditation with a deep breath in and a slow breath out.

In this meditation we're going to create a safe and healing space specifically for grief.

Grief has many labels and each and every experience of loss and grief is different from the next.

The goal today is to find an abstract space for loss and then to sustain that space as long as it needs.

Moving forward you can return to this space when you are needing nurturing and healing in this area.

There's no need to identify a specific incident when you experienced grief or loss.

Simply be open to what feelings and thoughts come to mind.

Continue to focus on the breath.

Allow your limbs to relax and rest comfortably and allow your spine to find length as you ease into alignment.

Imagine the gentle movement of your breath flowing in and around you.

Envision the breath lingering in areas that need more attention and love.

Each breath brings compassion and invigorating ideas and feelings and even simply peace.

As we get to this place of peace visualize this peace creating space around your core.

It can fluctuate in size.

The flow in this space can change direction or have continuous movement.

There's no one right way to visualize this place.

Keep this space moving at your core.

And now imagine particles of grief or loss or sadness or heaviness gathering from other places throughout your body and mind.

Visualize them traveling to this place of peace that we've created all at their own speed.

As they make their way to this place focus now again on that space in your core.

Imagine it filling with light and energy.

This space is collecting the particles we mentioned some of which have been stagnant for days or for weeks or for much much longer.

Allow this time and your breath to process and bring light to those areas that have seemed heavy or dim.

This is the place of peace.

This is the place of peace.

This is the place of peace.

This is the place of peace.

This is the place of peace.

This is the place of peace.

As you close this meditation do so with gratitude,

Forgiveness,

Understanding,

And peace.

Thank you for watching!

Amazing, amazing meditation for giving grief a space to be present, and then to be healed. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Iโ€™ve recently lost a dog, and this helped me find a place where I could picture her being happy. Iโ€™m going to focus on that, and I really do feel more peaceful now.

Thank you for this gentle meditation that reminded me about forgiveness, understanding, gratitude and peace. This is the anniversary of my nieces death 13?years ago. I woke up this morning sad and angry that she did this to hurt our family. But your meditation reminded me she was the one hurting so much that she felt she had to leave this earth. I have always felt I should have seen it and saved her. But I realize I need to forgive her for her action, and forgive myself for not being there for her. And have more understanding of how much she was hurting, gratitude for the 25 years of life she did have with us on earth and peace about remembering her with love. Thank you for this short but powerful meditation.

A lovely meditation. I am sure the idea of allowing the grief travel to a place of healing can be applied to other types of healing like anxiety. Thank you for offering this. Compassion is always a good idea. I liked the sound of the water too.
