Welcome to this meditation,
To this time for yourself to rest,
To tune in,
To let go.
Find yourself seated comfortably or lying down.
Notice what your body wants.
As you are landing,
Notice your environment,
That you are safe,
Undisturbed.
Feel the shape that the body is in and feel the weight of the body being held by Mother Earth.
Taking a deep breath in and sigh out your exhale.
Ah.
Let's do a couple more.
Breathing in.
Ah.
Breathing in.
Ah.
Let the eyes float closed.
Let the face soften.
Unclench your jaw.
Unfist your hands.
Imagine that you are sitting by a beautiful stream in the woods in early spring and the world is waking up.
And all the green is vibrant lemon lime chartreuse,
Pollen dusted.
Can you feel the waters of the stream washing over you?
And as your eyes are closed,
You can feel this water.
What does it feel like?
What do you want it to feel like?
Does it feel like a baptism?
Does it feel warm or cold?
Does it have a fragrance sweet like honeysuckle?
And we're gonna put into the sky a warm sun that weaves its light through the tree canopy of the woods and falls upon you.
And you turn your face skyward to receive the light of the sun.
And you lie down.
You lie down on a large rock that's in the middle of the stream and the rock seems to fit your spine perfectly.
It's like you're doing a backbend over the rock,
But in a way that feels so supported when your legs drip over the side of this large rock.
If you dare,
Your toes could tap into the water and feel that zing of cool running through you.
And you breathe with the rock and you breathe with the trees and you breathe with the waters of the stream and the fishes and frogs and hidden creatures.
You place a hand on your belly and now place your other hand on your heart.
Deep breath in and exhale.
Deep breath in and exhale.
And now we're going to repeat a mantra with your hand on the belly.
Repeat I am that I am.
I am that I am.
And your hand at your heart.
Repeat I am love.
I am love.
I am love.
And then we put it all together.
I am that I am and I am love.
I am that I am and I am love.
I am that I am and I am love.
I am that I am and I am love.
Repeat this for a moment or two.
I am that I am and I am love.
This is a choice,
A beautiful choice.
As you are lying in this imaginary dream that you and I have created in this moment,
As you lie by the stream,
As you feel the shadows made by the trees and the sunlight coming through.
In this very moment,
My friend,
You have choices more powerful than you ever realized you are.
You have the choice as to who you spend time with.
You have choices on how you act,
React,
Think,
Speak,
Move.
What happens when you engage the power to choose in your daily life?
Someone is rude,
Maybe in traffic,
Maybe in your work,
Maybe at home,
Maybe with your family or friends.
Somebody is unkind or rude.
And your first reaction could be to choose to be irritated or angry,
To let your ego jump up and down like a three-year-old,
Spring violent words.
Or you could choose to not engage,
To not react,
To let their words wash over you.
I am that I am and I am love.
I am that I am and I am love.
Maybe you're looking at the news or social media and anxiety rises up in you,
Fear for the future.
I am that I am and I am love.
You can choose to turn it off,
The noise,
The stories.
You can choose to turn it off,
My friend.
Make your own news story.
What's happening in your day that's newsworthy?
Maybe that you saw a beautiful bird,
Maybe that you stopped and dipped your nose into a beautiful tulip and inhaled deeply the scent of sweet nectar,
Honeysuckle warm.
I am that I am and I am love.
I am that I am and I am love.
Today you can choose to take off your shoes and walk in the grass.
Today you can choose silence every time you catch yourself about to react.
And you will not be giving your power away.
You will not be throwing yourself away when others incite you.
I am that I am and I am love.
I am that I am and I am love.
If each one of us were to begin to live our lives using the power of choice and choosing love,
Compassion,
Patience,
Gratitude,
Joy,
Our world would change.
So let's begin with you and with me in this very moment.
Set your own intention for this day of how you want to move through holding that mantra,
I am that I am and I am love.
Self-acceptance and loving yourself in that self-acceptance.
See how you choose in your day to hold your power,
To not throw yourself away.
You may find yourself far more quiet and that's okay.
And people might be confused and that's okay too.
They might wonder why you're walking away and that's okay too because they have a choice on how they respond to you.
And if they choose to be angry,
If they choose to be upset,
That's their choice.
That's their story.
You are walking in self-acceptance and self-love and you are choosing to make this the most magical amazing day that you could ever have dreamed of.
And it could be the most simple ordinary day.
But because of how you are choosing to live it,
It becomes extraordinary.
Just take a deep breath in and sigh it out.

Sigh it out.
Put a smile on your face.
They can see you smiling.
It's so beautiful.
Breathe it in,
Sigh it out.
What a beautiful gift you are walking on this exquisite earth in springtime.
Try to get outside today and commune with nature.
No matter where you live,
Even if the closest thing to nature you can find is looking out a window to a distant tree,
Set your eyes on that tree and don't let go.
Don't let go.
For as long as you can hold the gaze,
Just keep looking.
And if you have no access to nature,
Close your eyes and imagine the last time you were with a flower or a tree.
Maybe on your way home tonight,
You'll buy yourself some flowers because you deserve that.

What are you going to choose today,
Friend?
Choose the best for yourself and notice the more that you choose calm,
Peace,
Joy,
Love,
Compassion,
Patience.
It ripples out.
It will transform your life,
Your relationships,
Your interactions.
The ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Take that intention you set for yourself today,
The power to choose,
