SEPTEMBER 15, 2026 SILAS, Thank you for reviewing this very important topic of resistance. I do not relate. I have never felt like resisting meditation, and for that reason, I respectfully make he following suggestions, I would be consistent with the use of first person singular pronouns, I, my and mine. You are primarily communicating your personal experience with resistance Your lesson here is primarily your experience. Alternatively, you may want to consider being consistent by using first person plural pronouns we, our, ours. This would capture your experience and the experiences of your audience members who also have issues with resistance to meditation. I would eliminate the third person pronouns you and yours. I believe that would make the message more consistent and understandable. Respectfully TED SWITZER

This one resonated with me because the ideas feel practical enough to carry into real life. Sometimes meditation doesn’t mean sitting down and closing your eyes. Sometimes it’s more about meditating on a philosophy and letting it bounce around in your head until something sticks and connects. I’ve already come back to this one, and I know I’ll keep coming back to it. The more I revisit this kind of thinking, here and in some of his other talks, the more chance it has to actually stick.

Loved this talk, it reminded me not to enter the struggle with my thoughts and not to try and push them away, just observe, acknowledge and move on.
