As we prepare for the meditation,
Find a comfortable position.
Make sure your back is straight,
Close your eyes and at your own pace,
Take a few really big inhales and long,
Slow exhales.
Allowing the deep breathing to relax your body,
To relax your mind.
And now,
Let your breath flow at its own natural pace.
And just gently rest your attention on your breath.
Allowing the gentle rhythm of your breath.
The slight rise on the inhale and the gentle falling back on the exhale.
And release.
And really feel the peace of this moment.
And release.
You you and notice that when your attention wanders off with a thought it's as if the peace that you were just experiencing has disappeared to be replaced by some tension a tightening a constriction and then when you bring your attention back to the breath coming back into the present moment the peace seems to arise again it appears as if our peace is arising and passing away but in reality our peace is always here it's just that our thoughts have created a kind of illusion that when we wander off with our thoughts and the peace disappears we feel as though the peace is impermanent because it comes back every time we come back into the present moment and yet the peace is always there in the background it's just that our thoughts are obstructing it preventing us from knowing the peace that is our true nature in the same way when we look up on a cloudy day we don't see the blue sky because the clouds are obstructing it but it doesn't mean that the blue sky isn't there it's just that we can't see it and it is the same way the same relationship between our peace that is our inherent nature and our thoughts that keep clouding over our peace that is our inherent nature and our thoughts that keep clouding over our peace our thoughts are impermanent the tension,
The constriction,
The anxiety those are all impermanent they arise and pass away but what is always there is the peace of our true nature you you you you feelings and emotions of course we will but to always remember the peace that is our true nature is always found here in the present moment not sometimes here not occasionally here it's always here all you need to do is take one conscious breath come back into the present moment and know the peace that is your true nature you you you you you you this sense of ease of feeling complete of being whole that in this moment in this piece there is no separation you are whole you're safe learn to trust this you you you you you you
