Welcome.
This meditation is our painted breath meditation with a focus on our circle of protection.
So please,
To begin,
Make sure you are in a comfortable position,
Seated,
Lying down.
And however you choose to be here,
Feel your body in that space.
Feel whatever parts of your body are on the floor.
And then lightly press those parts of the body against the floor.
Feel that activation,
But really the rooting down.
And then release it.
And then do that again.
Press whatever parts of your body are touching the floor into the floor.
And then release that.
Feel the relief that comes from that release.
And feel how your body is heavy,
But relaxed.
And relaxed,
But alert.
And then begin to see all the way around your body,
Front,
Side,
And back.
And begin to see some kind of element or item from nature forming all the way around your body.
It could be starlight,
Moonlight,
A forest of trees,
Wildflowers.
Try not to pick what you want.
Just let something form.
See it forming this circle around you,
Very close to your body.
This is your circle of protection.
And then outside of this circle,
Another element or item begins to form and swirl around you.
See it forming.
See it surrounding you.
This is your circle of healing.
And we'll draw one final circle outside of that one.
Again,
See a different element,
A different natural item,
Spinning a circle all the way around you.
Not only see it,
But feel it surrounding you.
This is your circle of support.
And then among your circle of support,
Inside it,
Within it,
Outside,
Begin to see and feel all of your friends,
Your family,
The people who've been in your life for just a little while,
Who've made a difference.
See all of the people and the creatures who have helped you in some way,
Who've offered you insight,
Wisdom,
Advice,
Who are always on your side.
Let them be a part of that circle of support.
So feel,
See that circle of support and all of those people.
Move in and re-see and sense your circle of healing.
Moving in further,
See and sense your circle of protection.
And now moving in further still,
Feel the movement of your breath.
And then more specifically,
Feel how your breath moves up on inhale and down on exhale.
Just watch the breath moving up on inhale and down on exhale.
And now please see your breath transform to a paint stroke.
And see that paint stroke moving up on your inhale.
Noticing if it takes on a specific color,
And then see that same color move down as your breath on exhale.
So following this paint stroke,
Seeing that same color rise and fall with your breath.
Noticing all of the qualities of this paint stroke.
Its color,
Its texture,
Its full width and length,
And anything else that you might see.
Please follow this paint stroke for the next minute or two.
Just another few cycles following this paint stroke,
Moving up on inhale,
Seeing that color,
Down on exhale.
And then allow that color,
The paint stroke,
To dissolve.
Just feeling the subtleness of your breath,
Seeing maybe any lingering light,
Any lingering color.
And now please move your awareness very slowly back out to your circle of protection.
And just feel the element,
That item that came to you,
That is surrounding you.
Feel its presence and feel how it protects you.
It becomes this barrier to your body,
Your spirit,
And the outside world.
And with this barrier,
With this circle of protection,
Ask and feel,
What is one thing right now that you need protecting?
Where do you feel vulnerable?
So bring your awareness to this place,
If you're able to pinpoint a physical place in your body.
And send awareness there.
Begin to send this element,
This item,
That is your circle of protection.
Send that there.
And keeping your eyes closed,
Begin to fiercely rub your hands together to create heat.
A lot,
A lot of heat.
And when you've generated that heat,
Place your hands on that spot where you feel vulnerable,
Where you need to protect.
And allow that heat to penetrate,
To become in a sense a solve.
And with your heat,
Your awareness,
Your intention,
And your circle of protection,
Both of these,
Or all of these things,
Come to more securely protect this place,
This thing,
This quality inside of you.
And then bow your head slightly,
Bowing to committing to this protection,
Committing to comforting this vulnerability.
Feel the heat in your hands,
Feel your circle of protection,
Feel it lingering in this place.
And when you feel ready,
You can bring your hands over your eyes,
A little bit of heat there.
Now protecting the eyes from the light,
Slowly begin to flutter your eyes open,
Allowing a little bit of light to enter.
And then when you're ready,
Fully come back,
Lowering your hands and coming back into the world.
