Meet your Teacher

Mario is a mindfulness teacher who focuses on helping people cultivate awareness and presence in their everyday lives. With a background in mindfulness and self-inquiry, Mario has worked with individuals who feel overwhelmed by modern life, teaching them to reconnect with themselves and the world around them. Having studied the teachings of Jiddu Krishnamurti and drawn from their own personal journey, Mario encourages students to explore mindfulness in a way that is authentic, non-judgmental, and without the pressure of traditional meditation practices. As a certified mindfulness teacher (MBSR & MBCT), Mario believes that mindfulness doesn’t have to be serious or rigid to be effective. Instead, they focus on creating lighthearted, practical practices that empower students to integrate mindfulness into their daily routines. Whether it’s through noticing small details in the world, tuning into the senses, or simply pausing to reflect, Mario provides a supportive space for people to experience mindfulness as an accessible, everyday practice.

Today’s challenge is all about spotting the color pink. As you go through your day, keep an eye out for anything pink — a flower, a piece of clothing, or something unexpected. Take a moment to notice it, pause, and see what it brings up. This game invites you to pay attention to the world around you, to notice what often goes unseen. Make a note of the pink things you discover, and share your favorite pink discovery in the course chat!

Smiles In The Wild

Today, your challenge is to spot five smiling faces. Whether it's a smile from a stranger, a friend, or even yourself in the mirror — take note of each one. As you notice them, pause for a moment and feel what they bring to you. This practice opens your eyes to the joy that is out there, even on the difficult days. Share the smile that made you feel the happiest in the course chat!

Hunting For The Little Wins

Today’s challenge is to notice the small victories that often go unseen—getting out of bed on time, choosing kindness, tackling the laundry or ticking off a tiny task. In a world full of comparison and pressure, it's important to remember that the little wins matter just as much as the big ones. Spot at least three and let them sink in, then share in the group chat!

Today’s challenge is all about listening. You’ll seek out five subtle, satisfying or unusual sounds — the ones we usually miss. Noticing The Noticer

On the final day, your task is to notice how the mind instantly labels, reacts and responds to the world around you. This can be a profound practice, and a lot of fun when combined with curiosity. Share one moment in the group chat, then reflect on how noticing your inner world, along with everything around you, has deepened your presence this week. At the end of the lesson there is a small, encouraging reflection to help you continue the practice of noticing!

At 1:30 am I figured out my car alarm kept going off because the key fob had got into the washer and was still wet inside. I was proud of all the steps I took to come to that conclusion and proud I was able to take it apart. And when it dries I have a replacement battery. Yay for me being so smart. Lately I’ve been worried I’m losing “it.”

I’m both sad and excited. Sad about the course coming to an end b/c it was really enjoyable. I had a lot of fun finding colors and smiles and so on to help me learn to stay in the present moment….
