Lesson 1
We Are Friction: Making Peace With The Human Experience
Most people carry a quiet inner tension. Have you noticed it? That subtle feeling of “something isn’t quite right” — which is far more common than we might admit. Yet modern culture often suggests that happiness *should* mean the complete absence of discomfort. In this lesson, Oliver reassures you that a slight feeling of unease is not a flaw or problem — it is simply part of being human. This lesson will outline the friction that we all feel between two primary elements of our being: Human (mind, ego) & Being (awareness). Happiness does not mean eliminating this friction. It means understanding that friction is woven into our design.

Lesson 2
The Two Forms Of Happiness — Temporary Pleasure vs Inner Stillness
In this lesson, we explore the difference between different types of happiness: short-term pleasure and deeper inner stillness, rooted in awareness. Temporary happiness depends on circumstances. It is often tied to dopamine — validation, consumption, or getting “something.” It rises quickly, and it fades just as quickly. The other form of happiness is less dramatic, but far more stable and dependable. It does not rely on constant stimulation. Oliver will help you to examine the difference between ego-driven satisfaction and awareness-based contentment, and to find your place of balance.

Lesson 3
Your Purpose & Life's Phases: Stability, Breakdown, Detours & Growth
Having a sense of purpose is deeply connected with a sense of happiness. But in this lesson, we dismantle the idea that your "purpose" needs to be a single, linear path or one "breakthrough moment". Life rarely unfolds in a straight line, and neither should your sense of purpose. Oliver talks you through some of the typical stages of the journey towards purpose: searching for stability, breakdowns, rebuilding with integrity, facing detours, and developing discipline. This is a perfect opportunity for you to consider where you "might be" in life, which can give you a sense of perspective, clarity, and reassurance. You'll also have the opportunity to consider what your life purpose might be, no matter how big or small, which also adds to your sense of fulfilment or happiness.

Lesson 4
The Power Of Solitude: Returning To Yourself
Today in our modern lives of hyper-connectivity, we are all faced with the drawbacks of constant engagement, being available, and responsive. The constant pull toward connection and filling our time with content, can quietly erode our self-trust and even our sense of self. In this lesson, we will look at famous historical figures, such as the Buddha, Ramana Maharshi and Carl Jung — as examples of solitude being a necessary experience for inner peace. You’ll explore the role of healthy solitude in your life, as a means to feel more grounded and content.

Lesson 5
Dropping The Masks: The Roles We Play Socially & In Relationships
In this lesson, we explore how family and past experiences often shape our identities or the roles that we go on to "play" in life. Many of us wear identities or "masks" that we never chose — and maintaining these masks is a large driver of unhappiness. In this lesson, you'll learn about different family archetypal roles, based on the works of Dr Murray Bowen, and learn to introspect with compassion for yourself and for others. This lesson is about compassion, self-concept, and introspection — learning how to gently unshackle ourselves from the burden of old patterns and identities.

Lesson 6
Future Rehearsal: Changing Patterns That Undermine Your Happiness
In this lesson, Oliver introduces a practical mental and cognitive technique for changing behavioural patterns that may have led to unhappiness in the past. You’ll learn how to identify the moments that tend to trigger negative reactions, and how to consciously rehearse future situations so you can respond with greater clarity, calm, and intention — rather than repeating the old habits that quietly undermined your happiness.

Lesson 7
The Philosophy Of Your Diet: Finding Balance & Clarity
In this lesson, you'll explore the relationship between the diet and your inner state of being. Drawing on the ancient yogic concepts of sattva, rajas, and tamas as examples, you’ll learn how different foods & eating patterns can influence your clarity, energy, and emotional balance. Drawing on years of experience in wellness, Oliver introduces you to a balanced approach to food, exploring the common habits that often undermine our wellbeing when we try to “eat healthy” — guiding you to a calmer, more grounded state of mind-body clarity.
