Namaste This practice will leave you in bliss,
Ready for whatever lies ahead,
Be it a full day or a night of sleep.
Welcome to Yoga Nidra,
Non-sleep deep rest.
For you,
I'm creating the best guided meditations,
Bowing down in front of you for the work you're going to do for yourself today.
This is your guide Marcel Gros,
Speaking and bowing.
Today we're joined by a cat on my lap,
So if you hear some noises,
Be aware,
The cat is also on this journey.
Prepare a peaceful spot,
Turn off notifications,
Radio,
Television and anything else that might distract you.
Then lie down comfortably,
Cushion your head and relax.
Legs slightly apart,
Arms by your sides,
Palms up,
Eyes closed.
Again,
Reflect if you're comfortable,
As during Yoga Nidra,
You will give your physical body a time for renewal,
With complete stillness of movement.
Breathe gently through your nose,
Tongue softly touching the roof of your mouth.
This experience is intended for wakeful relaxation,
So when you fall asleep,
That is completely fine.
Whenever you realize,
Come back to my voice.
A bell will signal the end of our practice.
I will slowly guide you out then.
We are now going to connect to your individual We are now going to connect to your individual intention,
Or also called seed,
Or wish,
And in Sanskrit sankalpa.
It is formulated in the present tense,
As if it is already true.
An example might be,
I am trustworthy,
I am reliable,
I take care of myself.
Feel in to your body and see what comes up,
What is most needed right now.
I give you some minutes to find your sankalpa.
As soon as you found it,
Repeat it three times silently.
As soon as you found your sankalpa,
Your intention,
Repeat it three times silently.
Good.
Let's begin with a breath.
Inhale,
Four seconds.
And exhale,
Five seconds.
From here,
Imagine water drops are traveling down your body.
They first connect with the very top of your head,
Slowly dripping to your forehead,
Eyebrow level,
Eyes and ears,
Nose and ears,
Mouth,
Chin,
Neck level,
Shoulder level,
Upper arms,
Upper chest level,
Heart center,
Elbows and base of ribcage,
Lower arms and belly button,
Wrist and pelvic area,
Palms and hip bones,
Big thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Little finger and thighs,
Again thighs,
Knees,
Lower legs,
Ankle,
Top of the feet,
Sole of the feet,
Big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Pinky toe.
Then the water decides to turn around and travel up your body.
Pinky toe,
Fourth toe,

Top of the feet,

Feeling renewed.
Feeling renewed.
Now that your body is relaxed,
Imagine a delicate spider web forming in your mind's eye.
Picture tiny water droplets resting on the strands,
On the connections,
Intersections of this web.
Each droplet reflects the others.
Just like these droplets,
We are all connected,
Each reflecting the light and beauty of the others.
With each breath,
Feel how the web holds these droplets together,
Symbolizing the shared experience and interconnectedness of life.
Notice how no droplet competes with the others.
Each one shines with its own unique radiance,
Reflecting each other again and again,
Again and again,
Again and again,
Again and again,
Reflecting.
We will now bring up a situation that is tense,
Because we want to release that tension and be able to feel how it feels when we release.
We can only release when we first create attention.
So join this visualization.
Imagine yourself in a state where you compare yourself.
Also feel guided by the saying,
Comparison is the thief of joy.
We want to compare now.
We want to put us knowingly into such a situation.
See where your mind guides you.
See where you last compared yourself.
Maybe something that you wanted to have.
Maybe something that you were jealous about.
Maybe something that you can't do right now and others can.
Maybe something that you feel you have missed on and others have not and somehow they are not grateful enough.
Whatever it is,
Feel in to that completely.
Engulf yourself into that feeling.
A feeling of comparison.
I give you a minute here.
Now begin by focusing on areas of your body where you may feel tension.
The forehead,
Shoulders,
Chest or stomach.
Imagine this tension as a warm almost hot sensation.
This heat symbolizes the moments when you compare yourself to others,
Feeling the burn of desire.
To be like them or to have what they have.
Feel the heat building,
Unalleging that this comparison creates pressure within you.
Allow yourself to recognize that this desire to compare is natural,
But it also creates unnecessary tension.
As you feel the heat,
Understand that this comes from wanting what others have.
Whether success,
Beauty or recognition.
It's the mind's way of seeking fulfillment outside of itself.
Take a deep breath in.
As you exhale,
Feel the warmth starting to cool down.
Let this cooling sensation spread from your head to your toes.
Melting away the comparison,
The desire,
The need to measure yourself against others.
With each breath out,
Let the coolness soothe your body and mind,
Releasing any tension.
Letting it go.
As your body cools and relaxes,
Bring to mind someone you may have compared yourself recently.
Instead of focusing on what they have that you don't,
Shift your attention to their happiness.
Imagine their joy,
Their success or whatever it is you once desired for yourself.
With each breath,
Cultivate a genuine sense of happiness for them.
You're letting go of comparison,
Allowing happiness for yourself and others to coexist.
In this space of cool relaxation,
Acknowledge that there is enough happiness,
Success and fulfillment for everyone.
Let go of the need to compare.
Trust in your path and celebrate others on theirs.
I'll invite you to come back to your Sankalpa,
Repeating your Sankalpa,
Your intention that you found in the beginning of this practice three times.
Bring your hands in front of your heart together.
Each moment you dedicate to this practice is a testament to your commitment.
You are encouraged to share in the comments of your breakthroughs and struggles,
Creating a ripple effect of growth and support.
Like that,
You are enabling me to create the best guided meditations,
Bowing down in front of you for all of your commitment and support.
