Blue Star into Yoga Nidra,
So welcome.
However it is that we're showing up,
We could welcome ourselves.
Take a few breaths,
Get ourselves comfortable in our body as much as possible.
Blue Star is a subtle body practice where we connect our physical and our subtle bodies.
Brilliant blue-white light radiating in each of the points,
So people feel an energy.
Before we go into Blue Star,
We set our intention for the practice and then we'll revisit that again with Yoga Nidra.
Of bringing complete stillness to the thought stream.
So we go to blue star first and then into that.
Let's look around the room that you're in before we start the practice.
One final check if there's something you could do that would help your body to be more comfortable.
Take a few breaths.
And become aware of your whole physical body from head to toes.
Back of your body,
Front of your body.
And is there a sense of aliveness in your body?
The prana,
The life force in our body.
One element of that is,
Am I sleepy or am I awake?
But it's much deeper than that.
It's much more than that.
Do you feel juicy and alive and engaged?
Are you feeling kind of dried out and dull?
The one thing about prana is that it really gets diminished by a lot of stress and it can be replenished by practice and by being outside in nature and a warm hug,
Whatever that we do to come back into our body and take connection,
Physical body and our energy body.
So that could also be very rejuvenating.
As you're breathing and you're noticing your back body,
Notice if you're able to really settle back without having to be ready for action.
Often we have at least moments in that time that are still where we feel that connection.
Become aware of the front of your body as well.
You could be worrying about something.
See if you could put it to the side for the duration of the practice.
Bringing our whole body into awareness.
And then as we go through the points with Blue Star,
We just go from one to the next to the next.
It's very simple practice.
When we think about why we're doing Blue Star,
We could have a sankalpa,
A resolve,
That's something to do with the Blue Star practice.
We would always say those in a positive way,
Like an affirmation.
My body is filled with healing light.
And connected and whole.
Let yourself come to some kind of an intention for the practice.
Let that be in your heart for a moment.
And then let's go right in.
Eyebrow center.
Is where we begin and end the practice.
Bring your awareness to your eyebrow center and behind your forehead.

Bring your awareness to the heart center,
To the brilliant blue-white light of the star.
Radiating out into the whole space of your body.
Mingling with the other blue stars.
Your physical body and energy body connected and one.
And check back in with your sankalpa,
Your intention.
Let that come back to mind if you set one.
And as we're ready to move into yoga nidra.
Check in with yourself and are you going to use the same sankalpa?
Are you going to change it a bit?
Check in what is your intention for this practice.
The practice of allowing our thoughts to come to stillness.
Once you've set your sankalpa,
Let's move our awareness to the eyebrow center,
The ajna chakra.
The seat of the awake mind,
The waking mind.
And imagine that you're breathing in and out through your eyebrow center.
Let all of your awareness be on this flow.
Let thoughts in your mind come to stillness.
And as we move through the practice,
If thoughts come into your mind,
Let them go to the background.
Let your thoughts stream come to stillness.
Just awareness of the breath as you're breathing in and out through your eyebrow center.
The seat of the waking mind becomes still.
And then bring your awareness now to the throat center.
The Shuddhi Chakra.
This is the seat of the dreaming mind.
Visualize a full moon at the throat center.
And your breath moving in and out smoothly through that light of the full moon.
That your dreaming mind becomes still.
All of your awareness in the throat center,
Vishuddhi chakra.
Letting your dreaming mind come to stillness.
Full moon,
The breath.
Now bring your awareness to your heart chakra.
Focus first on the chest area and then sense into the energy of your heart chakra,
Anahata chakra.
Let your mind be still and focus only now on the breath.
As though you're breathing in and out through your heart center.
The heart chakra,
Anahata chakra,
Is the seat of the deep sleep,
Non-dreaming mind,
Yoga nidra.
And allow your mind to come to complete stillness.
Letting go of breath awareness.
Let your mind be still.
Sometimes movement will come back into the waking mind.
Or the dreaming mind.
If that's the case,
Keep bringing yourself back into your chest.
Into your heart chakra and let yourself be still.
No thoughts in the mind at all.
Just this calm,
Awake alertness.
As we're coming towards the last few minutes of practice and if your mind has wandered somewhere.
Just come back,
Let yourself rest again.
In the heart center.
Your mind come to stillness.
And then gently bring.
A little bit of awareness into your heart center of breath.
Bring your sankalpa.
Back into awareness,
Very gently allowing those words to come as well.
And then bring your awareness up to your throat center,
Vishuddhi Chakra.
Full moon with your breath.
The state of your dreaming mind is still.
And then to your Ajna Chakra,
The eyebrow center behind your forehead.
The seat of the waking mind.
Continue to let your thoughts be still.
Just aware of the breath as though you're breathing in and out through the eyebrow center.
Back to awareness of your whole mind field of the experience you're having right now and of your awareness of your experience.
We began with the blue star.
Connecting our physical and our subtle body.
Moved into the stillness of mind in yoga nidra.
And as we come out of the practice,
You might take a few deeper breaths,
Move your body.
Open your eyes.
Let yourself transition gradually.
Thank you for joining me for the practice and I hope you really enjoyed it.
