This is a guided practice to listen to in the moment you wake from a night panic, when your heart is pounding and you have no memory of what set it off. Together we take some slow breaths, move the body, hold our own hands, look around the room, and come back into the present. Slowly your heart rate settles and we build the felt sense that this does not last forever. You are safe now, and you are not alone in this. Be kind to yourself as you find steadier ground.
