Hello and welcome to five minutes in nature with me Liz Scott.
I'm right on the lowland now of the moor about to go through the gate that will take me down a lane back home and I've just passed through a little herd of Dartmoor ponies that are just gently grazing here in the shelter of the land between a hillside and a wall that's a good place for them when it's a bit windy.
And today we are following on from our conversation of yesterday and the day before.
So if you haven't listened in yet,
I would recommend that you listen in to part one and part two of this as well as today's and listen to them in order so they make sense.
On the first day,
We were looking at you being deeply okay.
And we found words that reflected this,
Things that were like peaceful,
Freedom,
Gratitude,
Love,
Connection.
And you were asked on that day to experience those for yourself when you reflected on something where you remembered being deeply okay.
So you wrote down those words on a left-hand piece of paper,
And then yesterday on the right-hand piece of paper,
You write down words where you'd been in an experience where you hadn't felt heard or you had felt frustrated or you hadn't felt deeply okay.
Okay.
And then these were words that probably were things like overwhelm or frustration or anger,
Unsettledness or insecure feelings or guilt or worry or stress.
So those would have gone on the right hand side of this piece of paper.
We are exploring and I'm exploring with you the premise that I stand on.
It's like the foundation of my work.
And the foundation of this work is very simple.
It's that one,
We are all deeply okay.
And two,
We get lost in thought and thinking and we forget that we're deeply okay.
So we're okay,
Deeply okay at our essence and core.
We are made of the love,
Energy of the universe,
And we forget that because we get distracted by thoughts.
Looking at those words,
Or even in your mind's eye,
If you can imagine,
On the right-hand side of the paper,
You've got all those unsettled words,
And on the left-hand side,
You've got all those words that represent you being deeply okay.
The question might be,
So what?
Like,
It came up in our retreat,
Actually.
The question was,
Well,
So what?
So what if that's the way it works?
Now,
I know if somebody's asking,
So what,
That they haven't had an insight about this at all.
And that's because they haven't seen it deeply.
They're still using their intellect to try and work it out.
And the so what is that it just changes absolutely everything.
The world you thought turned up one way turns up a completely different way.
If you believe that you need to work on your thinking and get your unsettled thoughts and thinking to settle and you need to change people and you need to change circumstances and events before you have the possibility or chance of touching base with that place of feeling deeply okay,
Then you are on the road to exhaustion.
Need to control your feelings or feel better or think more positively.
Or change other people,
You are on an exhausting,
Never-ending,
Tiring task of trying to marshal your thoughts and thinking.
It's like Trying to marshal the clouds that are puffing above my head,
It's impossible.
You can't do it.
However,
If you realize and see and experience that place of being deeply okay.
If you realise that that is who you truly are and that never goes away,
It just gets covered over,
Then rather than trying to change your thoughts and thinking,
You instead bring your awareness back to that place within you that is ever constant.
There is a thread there,
Like an umbilical cord,
That will lead you back to recognize and realizing you are deeply okay.
So today,
The so what is that when you see this,
And all my pieces on Insight Time are in some way,
Shape,
Or form,
Are pointing you to this,
So just keep listening.
When you start to see this,
Life makes sense.
It feels more easeful when you go through the natural ups and downs of being human.
It's not so frightening.
You're not in fear.
When you realize that you are deeply okay,
It just changes life.
So let me know your reflections on this.
And I would love to hear your comments and interact with you.
It's great to connect with you.
And I'll be back again tomorrow with another five minutes in nature.
