This is a gratitude meditation to help us release fear and anxiety in uncertain times.
When we are faced with circumstances and obstacles where everything seems so out of our control,
Gratitude is a tool that can ground us into what's important and to take us out of fear mode and realign our mentality towards faith and trust in ourselves,
In our loved ones,
Or something even more.
Because we can't control every situation,
We can't control everything,
But we can control how we approach every plot twist and circumstance.
So go ahead and come to a comfortable seated position or begin to lie on down onto the floor,
Whatever is most comfortable.
Begin to scan the body from head to toe and first acknowledge how you are feeling,
What drew you to this meditation.
Acknowledge any feelings of fear and anxiety and worries.
And allow yourself without criticism to notice how these feelings are coming up.
Take a nice big deep inhale into the body and exhale.
Take a nice big deep inhale into the body and exhale.
Take a nice big deep inhale and exhale.
And continue to breathe,
Continue to connect to your breath and begin to scan the body from head to toe.
And can you locate where you may feel tension?
Can you locate where you may feel anxiousness?
And as you find all these spaces where you are holding on,
Take a nice big deep inhale and breathing on into these spaces and on an exhale,
Sigh into these spaces and let all of that tension melt into the earth.
Allow the earth to absorb any fear,
Any anxiety,
Any worry.
And just continue to breathe on in locating and exhaling away,
Letting the earth absorb any tension,
Any unnecessary thoughts.
And begin to visualize a white light.
Feel the light surround you.
Feel the light surround you and wrap around you,
Safely cradling the body.
Feel yourself cradled in this light knowing that you are safe,
You are protected,
And you are exactly where you are meant to be.
Even if the circumstances may jolt you off balance,
Know that the light has you,
That the universe has you.
Realize that this is your safe space,
This or this bubble of light,
And nothing can penetrate it,
You are safe.
And as you remain cradled in the universe's hand,
As you begin to let go and let the current of this protected light carry you deeper into a state of peace and relaxation breathing in,
Letting go.
Begin to visualize someone you are grateful for,
And really see if you can picture them,
Maybe you can visualize a memory where they made you so happy,
Where they made you smile or brought you joy.
And let the image of this person bring up positive feelings within you,
Breathing on in to the feelings,
Really absorbing them,
And on exhale,
Sending the feelings down the body,
Down the legs,
The arms,
The jaw.
And just take a moment to thank that person,
Thank the universe,
For sending that person your way,
Knowing that someone is a gift.
Feel the gratitude for this person ground you into the present moment,
And let the feelings wash over the body,
Over the mind.
And begin to visualize something you are grateful for,
And really begin to visualize that object,
That person.
Take a moment to thank that something you are grateful for,
Allow the feelings of that something to stir in the heart,
And feel that energy wash over the body,
Washing away any unnecessary thoughts,
Any tension.
Feel yourself absorbed within that gratitude,
Remaining one with this feeling,
And tuning out everything else.
And now,
Take a moment to meditate on what are you blessed with,
What do you feel blessed to have.
Really take a moment to meditate on what you are blessed with,
What you feel blessed having.
And let that feeling wash over the body,
Let the mind become one with this feeling,
Feel yourself grounded in these feelings of gratitude,
Thanking that perspective.
Take a moment to thank,
Be thankful for your blessings,
That someone,
That something,
That you have.
Allow yourself to be absorbed in this energy of gratitude,
And feel grounded in it.
Let it wash away any worries,
Any fears,
And acknowledge you have enough,
You are enough,
You are safe.
Recognize all that you have,
All that you are worthy of,
Understanding that this is proof that the universe has your back.
Recognize that our fear sometimes blocks us from seeing all that we have,
And remember to not let fear define you,
You are not your fears.
Do not let circumstances define you,
You are not your circumstances.
Everything is temporary,
The things that sometimes we find uncomfortable are temporary.
And just remember what you have.
There will always be ebbs and flows to life,
Times of positivity and peace,
Times of intensity,
But remember that your blessings and what you are grateful for is a rooted,
Consistent energy within you,
It is always there for you.
Ground down into gratitude,
Recognize what you do have,
And go with the current,
Knowing you are enough,
You are safe,
You are blessed,
And you are exactly where you are meant to be.
Let go,
Breathe in,
Sigh out,
And trust.
