This meditation is meant to ground you, completely allowing you to rest and reset the mind, particularly in the middle of the day, when stress may be heightened. This practice is advanced in a way that it will require you not to attach to your thoughts, become an observer, and dive into silence. Silence will be the main tool in observing your thoughts and releasing any stress. The meditation will offer you two minutes of silence at the end, to devote to yourself and your peace of mind.

This is a midday stress release meditation.

In this meditation we'll be focusing on really quieting the mind and the body to really just let go,

To honor whatever is coming up for you and to just allow the mind to simply be.

We are human beings and a lot of the times we feel out of balance or out of practice with simply just being.

For this meditation we will stop doing,

Chasing busy and just allow ourselves to really rest and reset.

So go ahead come into a comfortable seated position or simply lie on down,

Come to close the eyes,

Tune on in to how you're feeling at the present moment.

Notice the quality of your breath and is it hard for you to breathe in or is it something that's coming naturally?

Take a nice big deep inhale into the body and exhale side out.

Take a nice big deep inhale into the body and exhale.

Last big deep breath into the body and exhale.

And simply continue to breathe in and out and begin to let any worries,

Any stressors,

Begin to let them go.

Setting the intention that nothing in this moment matters more than you seeking calm and peace.

Breathing and exhaling.

Begin to release any tension in the body and by releasing tension locate exactly where you're feeling it.

Is it in the chest?

Is it in your belly?

Your head?

Your lower body or your back?

Take a nice big deep inhale into those spaces.

Breathe in,

Breathe in deeply and hold for 4,

3,

2,

1.

Exhale release side out.

Inhale,

Breathe in to those spaces.

Breathe in,

Hold.

1,

2,

3,

4.

Exhale let it go.

As you continue to connect with the breath,

Simply notice your thoughts from an observer point of view.

So it's almost as if you're not your mind,

You are just inviting yourself to recognize the thoughts that come up.

Just recognize them without judgment or criticism,

Without following them down a path or creating a storyline.

Just recognize.

And as every thought floats by in a cloud,

Notice the pause between every thought.

Breathe into it and resettle the mind there.

Breathe in and breathe out.

All you have to do at this moment is just rest your mind.

You don't have to try to achieve or figure something out.

Release the doing and just be here.

Inhale and exhale.

Let any emotions that arise,

Let them arise.

Let yourself be here,

Present,

Feeling.

Knowing that you are safe and you are protected and you are exactly where you are meant to be.

Begin to visualize yourself in your favorite safe place,

Anywhere in nature.

And as you visualize this place,

Feel the body release tension from the jaw,

The shoulders to elbows,

The elbows to the fingers,

The chest to the heart.

Let that energy release travel down to the belly,

The hips and legs,

All the way to the toes.

If you begin to recognize that you are thinking and following your thoughts down storylines,

Just bring it back to your breath and back to the safe space,

Remembering the intention to give your mind a rest.

Breathing in and breathing out.

For the remaining 2 minutes,

Just allow yourself to simply be here in this safe space.

Being here.

You don't have to do anything more or anything less,

Just let the mind be.

Give it the break it needs within this silence,

Releasing and letting go.

Responds And when you feel clear and comfortable You can choose to stay here in silence,

Letting silence be your refuge to simply taking a break or you can begin to wiggle fingers and toes and let yourself return back to approach your day with rest in mind.

Good luck and Namaste.

What a great, restful reset, just as you said! I was able to really rest, listening to your voice guiding me + I stayed quiet, in meditation for a bit afterwards as well. Thank you!

Good general relaxation, with nice ambient surf. The emphasis on not having to be "doing something" while meditating is right on the mark.
