Hello and welcome to this meditation for moving through grief with love and respect.
My name is Laura and I'll be guiding us today.
Grief is an important and undeniable part of everyone's life.
So we're going to honor it.
By experiencing the feelings and emotions that come along with grief.
In order to help us release it.
If you haven't already.
Find a comfortable position.
Either sitting upright with a straight spine.
Or lying down on your back if that feels more loving and supportive to you right now.
Allow your eyes to gently close or gaze softly down in front of you.
And place your hands with the palms face down somewhere on the body.
This will help you to feel grounded and supported.
Let's take three deep inhales and slow exhales together.
So empty any air out.
And big slow breath in,
Really filling the belly with air.
And through the mouth slowly exhale.
Again,
Long,
Deep inhale,
Imagining oxygen moving into every inch and cell of the body.
And let it out,
Maybe with a sigh.
Last one,
Deep breath in.
And exhale letting something go Beautiful.
You can let your breath fall back into its natural rhythm.
Now go ahead and take your awareness to the top of the head.
And we're going to start slowly moving our awareness down the body.
Releasing any tension we may be holding.
Breathing into those areas that feel tight or heavy.
And you can just hold the intention.
That wherever your attention is,
That part of the body relaxes.
Nothing else you need to do.
So starting at the top of the head and moving down.
Softening the forehead.
Allowing the mind to quiet behind it.
Feeling the eyes rest the mouth and jaw relax.
Maybe even unclenching the jaw or yawning here.
Down the neck and throat.
Into the shoulders.
Maybe the shoulders drop down and back as they release something they've been carrying just continue on your own time making your way down all the way to the fingertips and toes.
Inviting some softness and relaxation into the body.
You you Good.
For the next minute,
Just follow the movement of your breath.
Allowing every inhale to bring you deeper into this present moment.
And every exhale to soften the body even more.
Like you're melting into whatever is beneath you.
Beautiful.
Now begin to imagine,
Visualize,
Feel whatever feels most natural to you.
That a white light is pouring from above.
Bathing you in a healing,
Soothing light.
It's like the sun shining from above on you,
Filling you internally and washing over you externally.
This white light is healing and eases your pain and grief like a big hug from a good friend.
See if you can feel the light hugging you Allow it to break up these feelings of heaviness with grace and ease.
Allowing you to feel uplifted.
As you breathe in and out slowly and deeply.
This white light fills your being where there was heaviness before.
It's like the sun breaking up clouds.
And as it does so,
You start to feel more and more at peace.
More and more at ease.
More and more serene.
And then the light changes colors to give you just the perfect vibration for you at this moment.
White gives you peace and purification.
Blue gives you serenity and calm.
Green gives you growth and new beginnings.
Pink gives you love and nurtures your soul.
Gold gives you wisdom and abundance to move forward in life.
And a multicolor light gives you everything you need to heal and move through grief.
Depending on the stage of your process.
We will be supportive with the right light to give you what you need in this moment.
Experience whatever color is being presented.
And simply receive its healing power.
Good.
Now from this place.
I invite you to set an intention for this practice to allow healing and release.
To get the support you need.
You can say out loud or in your head,
I allow myself to grieve.
Now visualize a beautiful shelter for you to process your grief.
Without any pressure to do so.
Simply allowing yourself to imagine a safe place where you can go when you need to feel your emotions.
A place where unconditional love and acceptance reside.
And there's no need to be a certain way.
No need to hold in emotions any longer.
Design this space any way you want.
Make it very cozy and special.
This will be your place for the duration of the grief process.
You get to choose the furniture,
The setting,
The colors,
The materials,
Everything is up to you.
Maybe it's somewhere you've been that feels really peaceful.
Or someplace completely imagined.
When you're done.
Take a look around at the place you've created.
Breathe in the loving,
Healing energy that emanates from everything here.
And breathe out feeling safe and grounded.
Take a seat and ask yourself what you would like to do here today.
What grief does your body want to acknowledge?
Keep breathing calmly and listen to what your intuition tells you.
Observe how you're feeling.
And allow yourself to bring those emotions up to the surface.
It's safe to feel them.
This is your sacred place.
This divine shelter has the ability to bless and transform what you experience and release.
As you feel the motion,
The energy of the motion takes its purest form.
And returns back to the universe,
Ready to become something else.
Take the time to feel what you need to feel right now.
And know that these emotions are not staying with you.
You are releasing and transforming them.
After you move through the motions.
You can thank them for their wisdom.
And let them go back into the universe around you.
Because their job is done.
You have allowed them to be experienced,
Which is what they needed.
Feel yourself becoming lighter and lighter.
Know that this place will be here whenever you want it.
You can return here as many times as you want.
To release emotions in a place you feel safe to do so.
Gently allow your safe place to fade from your mind.
And take a couple minutes to just feel the inner peace and lightness that you've created through this healing practice.
Allow every breath to expand feelings of peace and lightness.
You Beautiful.
Maybe with a hand on your heart.
I invite you to take a moment to thank yourself.
For taking the time to do this practice and show yourself love and care in this way.
And then maybe telling yourself,
I love you.
Or anything else you may like to hear right now.
And start to gently come back to the present moment,
Maybe wiggling the fingers and toes,
Inviting movement slowly back into the body.
And then whenever you feel ready,
Taking all the time you need,
You can slowly and gently open your eyes.
