Settling into a comfortable position,
This exercise is best done in a seated position with your back straight,
Your feet firmly planted on the ground.
You can close your eyes.
This exercise is going to guide you to send energy to every single vertebrate on your spinal cord.
With our breath,
With our intention,
We will go vertebrate by vertebrate,
Sending energy,
Visualizing,
Clearing any density,
Just with our intention,
Just with our breath,
So that the energy can flow freely from every vertebrate to all the other parts of your body.
Start by taking three deep belly breaths,
Breathing in from your nose,
Holding your breath for a couple seconds,
And exhaling through the air,
Just to center our energy and feel connected to our body.
Bring your attention to the first vertebrae in your cervical,
C1.
Breathe into it.
If you can visualize,
Visualize it,
But it's not necessary for this exercise to work.
Just focus your attention on C1 and with your breath,
Send energy.
You can bring a color into it if you feel drawn that way.
C1 is responsible for sending messages from the brain to your head,
To your scalp,
And to your inner and middle ears.
Just spend a couple seconds focusing on C1 and all of those nerves going to all these different parts of your body.
I always like to feel gratitude,
But just sit with it for a while.
If you feel any density or stiffness,
Breathe into it.
We're going to take our attention to C2.
C2 is responsible for sending messages from your brain to your auditory nerves,
To your sinuses,
Your eyes,
Your optic nerves.
Breathe into it and feel the energy flowing freely from this vertebrae to all of those parts of your body.
Going down to C3.
I like spiraling the energy around every vertebrae and I visualize just a light going through every vertebrae,
Round and round and round.
As it goes round,
It spins off all density,
All blackness,
All stiffness,
And it just re-energizes the vertebrae.
If this exercise takes a different form for you,
It's okay too.
C3 is responsible for sending messages from your brain to your teeth,
Your cheeks,
Your facial muscles,
Your outer ears.
You can start to feel a little tingling in those parts of the body as the energy is starting to flow again.
Keep breathing into it.
C4 is responsible for sending messages to your nose,
Your mouth,
Your lips.
Feeling that free flow of energy,
Of information between your cervical and these different parts of your body.
C5 is connected to your vocal cords.
Breathe into it.
C6,
Connecting to your shoulders,
Your neck,
All of us that have stiffness in our neck and shoulders,
Either from posture or stress.
Breathe into it.
Send light with your attention and intention.
Relaxing,
Releasing.
C7 is responsible for sending messages from the brain to your thyroid,
Your shoulders again,
And all the way down to your elbows.
If you feel any tensions in your shoulders,
Elbows,
Through your breath,
Try to relax it now.
Sending energy to your thoracic spine.
The thoracic spine is the upper and middle part of your back and it connects to your ribs.
There are 12 vertebrates.
Let's start with the first one.
The thoracic vertebrate 1,
TH1 connects to your esophagus and forearms and your hands.
Spinning the energy.
Releasing energy.
Maybe even feeling a tingling in your hands.
TH2 is connected to your heart.
Giving in to it.
Just bringing your attention to TH2.
TH3 is responsible for sending messages from your brain to your lungs,
To your breasts,
To your chest.
Relaxing into it.
TH4 sends signals to your gallbladder.
You don't need to know where any of these organs are located.
Your body's intelligence will guide the energy where it needs to go.
All you have to do is put your intention to creating fluidity.
Sending light.
And with your breath,
Passing into it.
And your body will do the rest.
TH5 sends messages to your liver,
To your solar plexus.
It also governs your blood circulation.
You might feel the need to stretch a little bit as you do this exercise.
Just go with it.
Let your body do what it needs to do to find that balance.
To release those knots,
Those tensions that are inhibiting these signals and limiting that free flow of energy.
TH6 is connected to your stomach.
TH7 sends messages to your pancreas and your small intestine.
Spending that energy around your body.
Now I'm in for clearer messages.
Be able to assimilate all the nutrients from the food you eat.
TH8 is connected to your spleen.
TH9 is connected to your adrenal glands.
It's what powers you to be in action,
Creating cortisol and adrenaline.
And then you need to make quick decisions and power through your body.
TH10 connects to your kidneys.
TH11 connects to your kidneys as well,
But also your ureters.
TH12,
Your small intestines and your lymphatic circulation.
Just ask your body's intelligence to bring everything back into balance.
There are five vertebrates in the lumbar spine.
The lumbar spine is your lower back.
And it allows you to support the weight of your torso.
TH12 sends messages to your large intestines,
To your colon.
L2 to your upper legs.
And your appendix.
To your abdomen.
Just spending the energy around every vertebrae.
Watching them realign.
Releasing all tensions,
All pain.
TH3 is connected to your bladder,
To your sex organs,
But also to your knees.
Using your breath to relax into it.
Feel that energy flow.
Feel a tingling in your knees or feel a strengthening.
L4 is connected to your sciatic nerve,
Into the prostate gland.
And L5 is connected to your lower legs,
Your ankles,
Your feet.
The sacrum is located at the base of the spine and consists of five fused vertebrae.
It's also connected to your pelvic bone.
That's what gives the spine a strong base of support.
And it also functions as a shock absorber for the spine.
This is our anchor point.
And the sacrum and cox's together provide that stable platform for us to be able to sit upright and for us to have that range of motion that we are capable of.
Sending light to the sacrum,
Breathing into it.
Now that we have sent energy to every single vertebrate in our spinal cord,
Releasing tensions,
Releasing knots,
Bringing everything back into alignment.
Now we're going to take this energy that we've gathered in our sacrum and we're going to send it back up and down and up and down our spine,
Using your breath and allowing it to take the speed it wants to take,
Letting your body guide its own rhythm.
And we're going to send this energy from the sacrum all the way up to C1,
All the way down to your cox's for as long as you want.
Gathering that energy,
Gathering that light,
Feeling perfectly aligned,
Completely connected to every part of your body.
Feeling completely in the flow and feeling so grateful for this moment.
And bring your attention back to your breath,
Into a couple deep belly breaths again,
Breathing in through the nose,
Holding your breath for a couple seconds,
Exhaling through the nose,
Two more times.
And the last time.
You can slowly open your eyes.
You might feel tingling everywhere.
You might feel completely energized.
How would a beautiful way to start the day.
Namaste.
