Okay,
So the spread today,
The reading we're going to be doing today is for good health.
And so we've got five positions for this reading,
And they look like this.
So the first one is,
What does good health look like?
And before we go any further,
If you have any health issues,
Then obviously please do see your doctor or an appropriate medical professional.
Tarot does not replace appropriate medical advice and treatment.
I'm sure that goes without saying,
I'm going to say it anyway.
So what does good health look like?
So this might show us how good health might show up.
This might tell us what we can expect to experience when we are in good health,
When we're experiencing good health.
And underneath that we have,
How might imbalance show up?
So sometimes we're in great health,
We're in balance,
And sometimes we're a little bit out of balance.
And in that case,
We need to be able to recognise it so that we can bring ourselves back on track.
So these two cards really help to show us what to look for when we are in good health and when we might be falling out of good health or in a state that's not as supportive towards our health.
The next card is,
My best self-care or your best self-care.
So this will provide us with ideas about how we can take care of ourselves.
Health is a funny thing.
It encompasses all kinds of things.
We have physical health,
We have mental health,
And we are complete mind,
Body,
Energetic systems.
And so the better we look after ourselves,
The better outcomes we have for any health things that might be going on.
So this card is to give us some inspiration for how we might look after ourselves.
The next position,
Next to that,
Across from that,
Is the current situation or direction.
So how are things going health-wise?
What is the direction of things?
And how does the direction of things affect health?
And then finally,
Your best support.
So what can support you on your health journey?
So that is our spread for today,
And I will go ahead and pull some cards for the reading.
And today I am using the Tarot of the Moors by Juno Theus.
So I'll invite you to take a deep breath.
Just ask to receive what you need.
And you might bring to mind or focus on any areas of your health at the moment that might need a little bit of care.
Okay,
So our first card then,
What does good health look like?
How does good health show up for us?
And it's the Malik of Cups,
The King of Cups.
So I'll just hold that up there so that you can see it.
And the Malik or King of Cups is a really powerful monarch of the emotions.
So the cups are about the emotions,
The heart.
They're also about water,
The element of water.
But really what's going on emotionally,
Also unconsciously.
So the water can represent the unconscious.
And you can see here,
We do have the ocean in the background,
And the ocean is a deep place.
So what this tells us is that when our health is good,
When we're in good condition,
Good health,
Then we are in a place of balance emotionally.
The Malik of Cups is someone who knows how to deal with and balance our emotions.
And this is,
We work with this archetype on the Tower of Emotional Balance course.
So it's not someone who never has,
You know,
Quote-unquote So it's not someone who never has,
You know,
Quote-unquote negative emotions.
It's not someone who is,
You know,
In charge of or dominating their emotions in any way.
But it's someone who is able to ride their emotions.
Sometimes the King of Cups is shown actually on the ocean,
Floating on the ocean.
And if you think of that motion of the waves,
They're going up and down,
They're never still.
It's not like everything's static,
Even on a calm day,
Let alone on a stormy day.
But somehow he manages to float on them.
So this is an archetype who is very much able to deal with their emotions,
And most importantly of all,
Take responsibility for their emotions.
So if you are well,
Then you're in a better place to take responsibility for yourself emotionally,
Because you don't have those other drains,
Those physical or mental drains,
Or demands on your energy,
On your attention.
So you can,
Firstly,
You're more able to be aware of what's going on for you emotionally,
You're more able to tap into what is meaningful for you,
You're more able to express in a way that is mature.
The Kings,
The Maliks are all mature people.
So good health looks like a healthy emotional life as well.
So that's our first card,
And then secondly,
Underneath it,
How might imbalance show up?
So if we're in good health,
We have a healthy emotional life,
If we're out of balance,
How might that manifest for us?
And it's another Cups card,
And it's the Nine of Cups.
So because it is,
We have another Cups card up there already,
I'll firstly read that in contrast to it,
Because they're contrasting positions.
So the Nine of Cups is still,
It's a good card,
It's a lovely card,
But the Malik of Cups is sort of the end of the Cups journey,
Having moved out of the pits,
Through the archetypes of the court,
And to that sort of monarch of Cups who is so powerful in themselves,
In their relationship with the emotions.
The Nine of Cups,
Meanwhile,
I often read this as a card of preparation,
Of having enough to share.
We do have this person here with their cup in their hand,
And they also have another eight cups behind them,
So they have more than one cup,
They have plenty of cups,
Plenty to share.
When this is,
Because this is showing up in a position which is about imbalance,
How health imbalance might show up,
This might be about actually needing to fill your own cup,
Having some imbalance around what you can share,
About having enough to share.
And I see that actually this person's cup here is empty,
So it's an invitation for us to explore our relationships,
To explore where we're at emotionally,
To explore where we're giving and where we're asking to receive.
Especially again in that sort of emotional realm,
So this is a social card,
It's a card of support.
And it may be that you find that you need extra support at times of imbalance,
Or you find that you're being asked for support that you could ordinarily give but are no longer able to give.
So these are just points to examine really,
And discover where are you.
You might find that for you actually,
You know,
You are in a really good place,
You've got loads of full cups,
Loads to share,
And that this is a sign that you are in a good balance.
Or if you find yourself feeling a bit empty,
Then understand that as a sign of imbalance,
And do whatever you you need to do to bring yourself back in balance.
You always have permission from the universe,
So this is just a reminder that that permission is there.
Our next position then,
Your best self-care.
So what can you actually do to care for yourself in a way that supports your health,
That supports your good health?
And this is a lovely card,
There are cups in it,
But this is a major arcana card,
It's a Sultana,
Also known as the Empress.
So it is,
If you're going to choose one card from the tarot deck to represent self-care,
It would be this one.
The Empress or the Sultana is someone who is able to take care of themselves,
To nurture,
They also sometimes nurture others,
Like this Nine of Cups does,
But they don't have to.
They can just be about nurturing themselves as well.
I think that's very important in this archetype,
It's a traditionally feminine archetype,
And we know that societally and statistically different demands are made on traditionally feminine people in our society,
So let's just acknowledge that as well,
As a part of this archetype.
But this is also a card of connection with the earth and with place.
You'll notice this water in the background on this card as well,
It's one of the things I love about this particular deck,
Is there's plenty of water and it's sea,
And it just reminds me a bit of the Algarve as well.
So the emotions are there,
The heart is there,
But this is about connection with earth,
So connection with body,
Connection with the sensuality of the body,
So the sensual experience of being in a body,
What does it feel like,
And what can feel good,
All of those things that can feel good.
So anything that is feeling good for your body is a nice way to take care of yourself.
And also being grounded,
So on literal earth,
It might be about sitting on or putting your feet on the earth,
On the ground,
It might be about meditating with a tree,
A bit of nature connection,
Which is both intuitively and research-backed,
Known as something that makes us feel good.
So it's things that feel nourishing for you,
Things that make you feel good.
It's a really simple message,
But listen to your body,
Listen to what your body is telling you that it needs and wants,
And this is how you can initiate and continue good self-care that's going to support your good health.
Our next card then is the current situation or direction.
So how are things going right now at the moment?
And it's another major arcana card,
And it's the moon.
This is really interesting.
The moon is,
Well firstly I'd look at where we are in the lunar cycle.
I always do when the moon comes up,
Because our energies and our hearts,
True of health as well,
I always do when the moon comes up,
Because our energies and our hearts,
True of health as well,
Can wax and wane.
So trusting as well to that sort of waxing and waning,
Not expecting to feel the same every day.
This is a lesson that particularly people who do live with health conditions have to learn,
That you know we don't,
There may not be a set point,
There might be good days and bad days,
You may wax and wane a bit.
But also this is a card of the unconscious.
You see here this deep water which the moon is shining on.
So here we have the card of the unconscious.
So there are different ways to interpret this,
And in this position of the current situation or direction,
This may mean that our health is influenced by what's going on unconsciously.
Those of you who have done my No More Pain course,
And if you haven't and you need it,
Please do go and take a look.
We'll be familiar with some of the ways that the unconscious directs our health outcomes,
Especially our experiences,
Our behaviour,
Such as pain.
Pain is a behaviour,
It's something that we do,
And it's a behaviour which has a purpose,
The purpose of alerting us to the fact that there's something wrong.
We call this an unconscious positive intention.
So we are influenced at the moment,
We're experiencing the result of our unconscious positive intentions.
However,
If we can meet that unconscious positive intention in a different way,
So for example once we're aware of whatever the situation that the pain or the sensation is making us aware of,
Then we can start to,
Because the intention's already met,
We can start to programme ourselves unconsciously to not have that symptom anymore.
This is really powerful stuff.
I'm not going to go into enough depth at the moment,
But just to let you be aware that you can influence your own experience.
So again,
You know,
If you are having health issues,
Of course have them checked out appropriately,
But at the same time you can influence your experience of those issues and make them better.
So that's the direction that things are going,
So it's an awareness to be aware that what's happening unconsciously might be influencing us in terms of our experience around health,
But also that we have power,
We can programme ourselves,
Tell our unconscious what it is that we need.
And then finally your best support,
So what support is available to you to help you to be really well,
To have the best health journey that you can.
And it's another major arcana,
So we've got three major arcana cards here,
And it's the water wheel.
And I love this,
I really really love this.
So this card in some other decks is the wheel of fortune,
It's about fate and fortune and that balance between what you can control and what you can't control.
And in this deck there's a water wheel,
So the flow of the current of the river is going to happen anyway.
That's not something that we can change,
However we can harness the energy of it to power towards our own intentions.
So it's a really powerful message,
An invitation to go with the flow,
Not in terms of allow yourself to be carried away by whatever's happening,
But actually to be aware of what your intention is,
So that's really important,
Knowing what your outcome is.
So in this area of health,
Let's imagine that for everyone it's going to be something along the lines of to experience good health,
The best health that we can,
And to have the best experience of living in our bodies and in our minds that we can.
So once we know what that intention is,
And then we identify how things are going,
So that's came up in the moon,
What is,
You know,
What's flowing through,
What the river is,
Then we can build our very own water wheel to harness that power,
To harness that energy,
And to direct it towards our intention.
So what that's saying is that whatever's happening for you at the moment,
Use that,
Use it as a resource.
So instead of fighting it,
Go with it,
But you don't have to let yourself,
Going with it isn't the same as being carried away by the flow,
You can harness that flow.
So it's a very empowering card there.
So I will summarize that very briefly before we close.
So in the first position we have the Malik,
Or King of Cups,
Showing us that good health manifests in being able to relate and to be responsible for our emotional life well,
Because we have all of the resources we need,
We have all the spoons perhaps.
Imbalance,
Where we can look for imbalance,
Or check for imbalance,
And sometimes you'll be in balance and sometimes you won't.
The Nine of Cups,
So we can look at how resourced we feel,
How full our cup feels,
Whether we have enough to give,
Whether we need to ask someone else to give,
And we can use that to assess where we're at in our own levels,
How we're feeling in ourselves,
In our health.
The next position,
Your best self-care,
And it was the Major Arcana III,
The Sultana or the Empress,
An invitation in fact to self-care.
So your best self-care,
To put it shortly,
Is self-care.
So allow yourself that permission to listen to your body and to give your body what it needs.
The current situational direction,
We have the Moon,
So a reminder that almost everybody has good days and bad days,
Things are not,
Are not,
Are often not level,
And that that's okay,
But that also we can influence our own experience by working unconsciously,
And that the things that our bodies and our minds do,
Usually do have a positive,
An unconscious positive intention,
That's often about keeping us safe,
For example.
And then the best support is Major Arcana X,
The Water Wheel,
Or the Wheel of Fortune,
And that is an invitation to recognise and accept the direction in which things are flowing,
And then to use that as a resource,
To allow yourself to be empowered by that.
So that's the Tarot reading for good health,
Using the Tarot of the Moors by Gina Theus.
Thank you so much,
I really appreciate this community.
