Welcome.
The purpose of this meditation is to enhance our awareness of what is happening in and around our bodies physically and energetically.
That way we can become more mindful of the present moment and bring a higher level of awareness into our day.
This is going to help us reduce our anxiety around what is going to come next and come back into the present moment with a sense of bliss.
So I want you to start by finding a comfortable position,
A position that is both alert and relaxed.
You can either sit up or lay down and just take a moment to get comfortable and set aside your mental checklist.
Everything waiting for you on the other side of this meditation will still be there,
So let's just get really present.
Prepare to ground yourself and turn on all of your senses.
So have your eyes closed and take a big deep breath in to prepare ourselves.
And then just let everything out.
We're going to start with the physical sensation of touch.
So notice where the earth or floor is coming up to meet you,
Maybe your chair.
And start by noticing every single point where it is touching your body.
Notice where you are making contact with the world outside of yourself,
Moving from what is beneath us to what is on us,
Your clothes.
What are your clothes made out of?
Where are your clothes touching you?
Can you notice an intimate point of contact between you and these objects?
A universal space filled with a sensation of tingliness.
The sensation is so blissful and it is all around us.
Notice now where you are touching yourself,
Maybe skin on skin.
Maybe it's your hair or your hands resting on yourself.
Notice the shape that your body is in and how this is a blissful posture.
How wonderful that we can experience this position.
Notice the physical movement of your breath in your chest or your stomach.
Notice the temperature of your body.
Notice the temperature of the air around you.
What is that energy around you like?
Is there a breeze?
Is it still and peaceful?
Is there any movement outside of your physical body that you can sense intuitively?
Just allowing this blissful knowing and this blissful sensation to overcome us.
Next we're going to move on to taste and smell.
Taste and smell work beautifully together to allow us to experience a wide range of sensations.
So keeping your mouth gently closed,
Notice what your tongue is tasting.
Notice the sensation inside your mouth,
The position of your tongue and your jaw and your lips.
Notice also how in your sense of smell complements your sense of taste.
Can you smell anything right now in the air around you?
Perhaps noticing if you are breathing in air more through one nostril than the other.
And if that nostril is primarily responsible for smelling right now.
Lastly,
Let's focus on sound specifically.
What is it that you can hear?
You can hear my voice.
You can hear the background music of this meditation.
Perhaps you can hear your own breathing.
Is there anything you can hear in the room or immediate space around you?
Notice how blissful it is to be able to hear.
Extend your ability to hear to the space outside of your room,
The space far away.
Can you hear the world going on around you?
Let your ears fill you with sensation.
Let's just put this all together and notice our sensation of touch and smell and taste and hearing can make us feel full of sensation.
Make us feel tingly and blissful and grateful that we are capable of experiencing all of these sensations.
Keep breathing into this tingly sensation and give yourself permission to feel that bliss.
It is yours.
This is presence,
The sensation of your physical body and everything it experiences is presence.
To close this meditation,
I'm going to ask that finally you just slowly open your eyes and see all of the color that you are surrounded by.
See the physical world,
The textures,
The shapes,
The way light bounces off of all of the objects around you.
See the miraculous world around you.
Everything is a miracle.
And we are granted the blissful experience of sensing it.
Give thanks to yourself for showing up today and for being present with what is and what we are capable of receiving from this universe in this lifetime.
I wish you all the best.
May you be present and may you be full of love.
Namaste.
