Welcome to this experience of I Am Yoga Nidra.

Come into a comfortable position,

Lying on your back,

Perhaps some padding under the head,

Some height under the knees.

You may want to cover yourself as your body temperature will tend to drop.

If this position is not appropriate,

Any position where you're least likely to move and will be most comfortable is appropriate.

We'll begin with tension and relaxation.

If you cannot have undue pressure in the head for any reason,

It's important that you breathe normally as you tighten and tense the body.

We'll begin with the upper body.

Tightening the fists,

Arms,

Shoulders,

Tighten,

Tighten,

Hold,

Hold.

And now let go.

Relax.

On your next exhalation,

Relax even more.

Observe and feel the flood of energy in your arms.

This time as you inhale,

Deliberately tighten the hips,

Buttocks,

Legs,

And feet.

Tighten,

Tighten,

Hold,

Hold,

Squeeze.

And let go.

Let go completely.

On your next exhalation,

Let go even more.

Observe the flood of energy in the legs.

This time tighten and tense the entire body as you inhale.

Arms,

Hands,

Shoulders,

Feet,

Legs,

Face,

Buttocks,

Tighten,

Tighten,

Hold,

Hold even more.

And now let go.

Relax.

On your next exhalation,

Let go even more.

Observe and feel the flood of energy extending to all the muscles,

Nerves,

And cells of your entire body.

Let your whole body melt into the flood of energy you feel in your body.

Let your whole body go limp like a rag doll.

Place any holding anywhere.

With your eyes closed,

Quiet your mind.

Be still.

Let go of all thoughts,

Worry,

And tension.

Give yourself fully to a higher power.

Relax.

Trust and let go.

Breathe in fully and exhale with a deep sigh.

And again,

Breathe in fully and let go even more.

Feel a deep sense of peace and contentment in your heart.

Now allow yourself to receive the following intention as I repeat it.

Let your whole body listen to what I say.

I hold my brothers and sisters in love on this human journey.

Let this be your intention now.

Now bring attention to the face.

With your next exhalation,

Allow all expression to drop from the face.

Releasing the tiny muscles around the eyes.

Allowing the eyeballs to rest back in their sockets.

Releasing the tiny muscles around the mouth.

Tongue resting in the mouth.

Lower jaw gently opening.

Softening.

Allowing the cheeks to soften towards the floor.

Scalp resting on the skull.

Neck softening and easing.

Simply be available to the entire range of sensations in the face and head.

Now drop into a sense of your whole bodily presence.

Embrace this present moment's experience undistorted by what you like or don't like.

Let go of that which is going.

Let come that which is coming.

Now as we enter this next phase of yoga nidra,

Remain as motionless as possible.

If you need to move or make an adjustment,

Do so mindfully.

And return to stillness as soon as you're able.

Resolve to remain awake.

Staying in touch with the sound of my voice.

Simply allow your entire body to respond to my words directly and non-mentally.

Allow any disturbances external or internal to draw you more deeply within.

In yoga nidra you enter the subconscious field of prana,

Energy.

Let your mind merge and melt into the energy body and go beyond the boundaries of body and mind.

Now shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being.

Do absolutely nothing from now on.

Let your mind merge and melt into the deepest state of tranquility,

Stillness and peace.

Now simply become aware of the rising and falling of the breath.

Notice if the breath is fast or slow,

Deep or shallow.

Whatever is happening,

Simply relax and witness the breath.

Now follow my guidance as we begin the mantra breath.

Breathing in fully,

Let the belly rise on the inhalation.

And as you exhale,

Let the belly fall as you complete the outgoing breath.

Continue with long,

Slow,

Steady breaths,

Emptying the lungs completely.

On the next in breath,

Silently breathe in the word peace to yourself three times until the lungs are full.

On the next breath out,

Silently repeat the word peace until the exhalation is complete.

Breathe in peace,

Peace,

Peace,

Breathe out peace,

Peace,

Peace.

Continue until I ask you to stop.

Breathe easily and naturally as you repeat.

Deeply engaged,

Completely absorbed.

Feel every cell of your body deeply hearing and receiving this word.

Now breathe normally and simply observe how the energy of this word is transmuted into sensation in the body.

Let go into it.

Let go into this silent stillness expanding everywhere.

Enter an effortless state of being.

Now as I name the body part,

Bring your total attention accompanied by a feeling of heaviness.

Sinking like a stone in water.

Both feet heavy like stones.

Calves and knees heavy sinking deeper.

Thighs and hips very heavy like lead.

Abdomen,

Chest and back,

Gravity pulling you down deeper.

Shoulders,

Arms,

Palms,

Very,

Very heavy.

Feel your entire head heavy like a stone.

Give your body completely and totally to the omnipresent field of gravity.

Now experience your whole body heavy like a rock.

Feel your whole body sinking deeper and deeper into the pull of gravity.

Sinking heavy like a stone.

Sinking deeper into stillness and silent awareness.

Now shift your attention and as I name the part of the body,

Let all heaviness drain away.

Let your body be buoyant and light like a fluffy cloud.

Both feet limp and light.

Calves and knees empty and free.

Feel it.

Thighs and hips hollow,

Weightless.

Abdomen,

Chest and back,

Light and empty.

Shoulders,

Arms and palms floating.

Head hollow,

Empty.

Feel your whole body empty,

Light and hollow.

Experience the emptiness of your body and silence of your mind.

Now imagine you're walking through a beautiful garden.

You're completely alone.

There is only you to enjoy the beauty around.

Sense the earth beneath your feet as you walk.

Cool and very pleasant.

Flowers blooming.

Plants and trees flourishing from the earth.

You hear a loud clap of thunder.

As you look up,

The skies become dark.

It is starting to rain.

You're standing on very green grass,

Watching the raindrops bounce off the blades of grass.

Look around and witness the storm.

Raindrops streaming down your face,

Drenching your clothes.

Just relax and enjoy the feeling of being completely wet.

No concern about getting wet.

Doesn't matter.

It's very pleasant to get wet.

Now the storm is finished.

You can smell the wet earth.

The sun beginning to shine through the clouds.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin,

Drying your clothes.

Look up at the sun and feel its warmth and energy penetrating deeply into your skin,

Entering your body until you feel warm everywhere.

Now you're running in the garden.

You're very happy and cannot help but laugh with joy.

All around you are birds singing their beautiful melodies.

A cool,

Gentle breeze is blowing in the trees.

Hear the wind rustling in the trees and feel it blowing against your face and through your hair.

It's fresh life-giving air.

Now give yourself permission to enter the deepest level of relaxation right now.

Let go.

Nothing to do or achieve.

Dissolve and disappear into stillness.

Open.

Empty of all doing.

Empty of all past,

All future.

Merge into this space and be empty.

Sensations,

Thoughts,

Images floating by like clouds on a clear blue sky.

Letting it all gather and dissipate.

Come and go.

Be the space in which it is all happening.

Here,

Your intentions and affirmations are actualized and fulfilled with effortless ease.

Allow yourself to receive the following intention as I repeat it.

Let your whole body listen to what I say.

I hold my brothers and sisters in love on this human journey.

I hold my brothers and sisters in love on this human journey.

I hold my brothers and sisters in love on this human journey.

Feel your intention being recognized and honored at all levels of your being.

No doubt or hesitation.

Simply let it be done.

Trust that there is nothing for you to do to make it happen.

Simply allow it to take root in its own time and in its own way.

Now allow yourself to receive the following affirmations as I repeat them.

Let your whole body listen to what I say.

The more I return to peace in body,

Mind,

Heart and soul,

The more I create healing in the world.

I allow fear and separation to dissolve in the radiant light of love.

I surround those in pain and suffering,

In love and light of divine source.

Know that releases,

Shifts and changes that need to take place are happening independent of your doing.

Now slowly begin to deepen your inhalations and exhalations.

If there's healing that needs to happen at this time,

Surround that situation in the light of your love now.

Let this be your prayer.

Recognize at this time that you've made a major shift in perspective.

This shift will enable you to interact with yourself and with the world in a new way.

You are an emissary of light and love.

Carry it everywhere you go and to everyone you meet.

Slowly begin to deepen your inhalations and exhalations.

Feeling yourself beginning to rise to the surface of awareness.

As if rising from the depths from a vast,

Deep ocean.

Feel the body resting on the floor.

The quality of the air as it touches the skin.

And only as you feel the impulse,

You can begin to awaken the body as if waking from a restful sleep.

If the impulse is to remain still,

Do so.

If you wish,

You can bend your knees and pull them closer to your chest,

Rocking sideways gently.

Take your time.

There's no hurry.

And then just turning onto your right side,

Curl into a fetal position.

Take a moment to get comfortable.

And feel the safety,

Comfort and protection of the womb of existence.

Allow yourself to receive this intention once again into every fiber of your being.

I hold my brothers and sisters in love on this human journey.

Know that your intention has been received and is being acted upon.

There's no need to do anything about it.

Now you can gradually move and begin to sit up with your eyes closed.

Continue to stay deep in this inner experience.

Regardless of what you consciously recognize that has or has not changed,

Know that something deep within has shifted to connect you with your intention.

Become aware of your body and bring a deep sense of peace and contentment with you as you bring attention back to the body.

Just notice how relaxed the body is,

How calm the mind is,

How quiet the heartbeat is.

Be still and be grateful.

Know that you can return here again and again.

Know that from this place begins your power to change the world from the inside out.

May the spirit within each one of us be victorious.

May we travel this path together,

Hand in hand,

In love,

Connection,

Honor,

And harmony.

You may remain here as long as you like,

Or as you're ready,

You may open your eyes.

Starts With a very short but efficient Progressive muscle relaxation and some breathwork followed by a somewhat diffrent body scan and after that a MAGICAL and thourably enjoyable I Am meditation that truly helped me to zoom out of the body, the past as well as the future .
