Welcome to the integrative amrit method of Yoga Nidra.

I am Yoga Nidra.

Find a comfortable position lying on your back,

Perhaps with some height under the knees or some padding under the head.

Be sure to cover your body as your body temperature will drop,

Making any additional adjustments so that your body can be completely comfortable.

If you cannot lie on your back for any reason,

Find another position where you're least likely to move and will be most comfortable.

We'll begin with the opposite stretch.

Extend the arms overhead.

Inhale,

Stretch the arms and legs in opposite directions.

Stretch,

Stretch,

Arms and legs opposite directions.

Hold and release.

And again,

Inhale,

Stretch the arms and legs in opposite directions.

Stretch,

Stretch,

Even more,

Even more.

And let go.

Keep the arms above the head.

One last time,

Inhale,

Stretch,

Stretch,

Stretch,

Even more.

Now let go completely.

Allow the arms to come to the sides.

You may cover your arms if you like.

Now keeping your eyes closed,

Quiet your mind.

Be still.

Let go of all thoughts,

Worry,

And tension.

Give yourself fully to a higher power.

Relax,

Trust,

And let go.

Breathe in fully.

And exhale with a deep sigh.

And again,

Breathe in fully.

And let go even more.

Feel a deep sense of contentment and peace in your heart.

Now bring this intention into your awareness.

I allow my body to create a profound healing shift.

Now,

Now bring your attention to the face.

With your next exhalation,

Allow all expression to drop from the face,

Releasing the tiny muscles around the eyes,

Around the mouth,

The cheeks softening towards the floor,

The tongue resting in the mouth,

Lower jaw gently opening and softening,

Eyeballs resting back into their sockets,

Neck softening and easing.

Simply be available to the entire range of sensations in the face and head.

Now bring your whole body into awareness.

Drop into a sense of your own bodily presence.

Feel yourself descending down into the stillness beneath the mind.

All excess tension and holding carried out with each exhaling breath.

Let go of that which you no longer need.

Soften and release.

As we enter this next phase of Yoga Nidra,

Remain as motionless as possible.

If you need to move or make an adjustment,

Do so mindfully now and return to stillness as soon as you're able.

Resolve to remain awake,

Staying in touch with the sound of my voice.

Simply allow your entire body to respond to my words directly and non-mentally.

Allow all thought,

All effort,

To dissolve into the vast spaciousness of being.

Enter into a state of complete non-doing.

Now simply become aware of the rising and falling of your breath.

Become aware of your natural breath pattern,

Without trying to control or change it.

Now follow my guidance as we begin the relaxation breath.

Breathing in,

Deeply fill your lungs from the bottom to the top as if you're filling a water bottle.

As you breathe out,

Empty your lungs from the top to the bottom.

Inhale,

Bottom to top.

Exhale,

Top to bottom.

Observe the movement of your abdomen and chest.

Stay connected to the feeling of the release of tension and the deep feeling of relaxation.

Let this feeling extend to every part of your body.

Redirect your full attention to your breath.

Create no struggle around the breath.

Just simply deepen your inhalations and exhalations.

Let the exhalation be longer than the inhalation.

Let the flow of your breath be as steady and uniform as possible.

Undivided attention to the movement of your abdomen and chest as you breathe in and out.

With each breath out,

Release any tension held in your body,

Anticipations in your mind.

Let go.

With each breath in,

Fill every nerve and cell with pulsating,

Healing energy.

Breathing out,

Let go of holding anywhere in your body.

With each breath in,

Visualize your body renewed and revitalized with new life.

Now breathe normally and be still.

Empty your body and mind and enter deeper levels of stillness and silence.

Let all tension simply melt,

Drain away,

And dissolve in the expanding energy field.

Do absolutely nothing from now on.

Release any effort to make anything happen.

Now follow my guidance as we move awareness through different parts of the body.

Let your attention rest on each body part as I name it,

Without comment or judgment.

All ten toes.

Both ankles.

Both knees.

Thighs.

Pelvis.

Chest.

Arms.

Throat.

Chin.

Face.

Head.

Back of the head.

Shoulder blades.

Back.

Buttocks.

Calves.

Heels.

Soles of the feet.

Sense the whole body.

From the top of the head to the tips of the toes.

Whole body.

Feel the whole body contained in vast,

Spacious awareness.

Now as I name each organ,

Feel energy moving with attention,

Nourishing and vitalizing each organ.

Bring your attention to the heart,

Lungs,

Esophagus on the left side of the torso,

The stomach,

Pancreas,

Spleen,

Right side of the torso,

Liver,

Gallbladder,

The abdomen,

Adrenal glands,

Kidneys,

Intestines,

Reproductive organs,

Bladder.

Now bring your whole body into awareness.

Feel the whole body contained in vast,

Spacious awareness.

Whole body.

Heavy,

Like a rock sinking into the pull of gravity.

Now bring your attention to a constricted or dense part of the body.

Though you may not consciously recognize the cause of this feeling,

The innate intelligence of your body knows how to resolve it.

Breathe into this area.

Make space for it.

Give it room to move.

Loosen.

Disperse.

Dissolving.

Lightening.

The body releasing whatever it no longer needs.

Now sense the body's healing energy streaming towards this area,

As if it were attracting it like a magnet.

Watch this part of your body returning to wholeness,

Vitality,

As it is surrounded by this healing light.

With each inhalation,

Feeling that the body is more healed,

More whole,

Than ever before.

Sensing the body as more energy than density,

Until the whole body is felt as a pulsing,

Tingling energy field.

Any emotions,

Thoughts,

And fears that may have contributed to the imbalance can now be released and resolved.

Surround your body with unconditional love and acceptance.

Acknowledge that any physical manifestation is a very important messenger in your life.

That whatever happens is exactly what needs to happen for your growth and evolution.

All that is necessary is your willingness to be present to what is.

Be still and be at peace.

Bring your attention to the center between your eyebrows,

And drop into the deepest level of relaxation.

Here there remains nothing to do or achieve.

You've entered the domain of grace.

All that can never be done by your doing can happen only in the non-doing presence of your being,

And over all fear,

Apprehension,

And anxiety about all that you want to change,

Control,

And manage.

Replace it with trust and faith in the higher power,

Empty and free from all doing.

Here your intentions are actualized and fulfilled with effortless ease.

Now allow yourself to receive the following intention as I repeat it.

Let your whole body listen to what I say.

I allow my body to create a profound healing shift now.

I allow my body to create a profound healing shift right now.

I allow my body to create a profound healing shift right now.

Feel this intention being carried out at the deepest core of your being.

Your intention is now being assimilated and adopted at all levels of your body and being.

Completely integrated,

Totally digested,

Fully actualized.

Bring your attention back to the center between the eyebrows and feel all the energies of your body from all meridians,

Activated,

Purified,

And balanced.

All channels are open.

Life force is flowing freely,

Healing the body,

Calming the mind.

Open your heart and feel content.

Recognize at this sacred moment your whole being has made a major paradigm shift.

Establish yourself in total trust and faith that remains free from any need to be in control.

Feel totally unburdened and free to move in life with effortless ease.

Now begin to become aware of the rising and falling of the breath.

Feel yourself beginning to rise to the surface of awareness as if rising from the depths of a vast,

Deep ocean.

Slowly feel yourself coming back to awareness of the physical body,

The body resting on the floor,

The quality of the air as it touches the skin.

And as you feel the impulse to move or stretch,

You can begin to awaken the body.

Or if you prefer to remain here and simply rest,

Do so.

If you wish,

You may roll over onto your right side into a fetal position,

Feeling the safety,

Comfort,

And protection of this pose.

Now bring your intention into your awareness once again.

I allow my body to create a profound healing shift.

Now,

Every time you find yourself in reaction,

You're empowered to replace it with your intention,

Regardless of what you consciously recognize it has or has not changed.

Know that something deep within has shifted to connect you with your intention,

Bringing this deep sense of stillness back with you.

As you come back to full awareness of the physical body,

If you wish,

You may come up to a seated position or remain resting where you are.

Be still and be grateful.

Know that you can easily return here again and again.
