It's time for rest.
So if you are not already in bed,
Make your way there and let yourself land.
There's nothing else you need to do now.
No more decisions to make.
No more effort required.
Feel the support of your bed holding your weight and inviting you to let go.
Let your eyes close,
Your breath natural,
Soft and slow.
Whatever this day has brought,
You've made it here and now it's safe to return.
To yourself,
To your breath,
To your body.
Let your body become the soft place you fall asleep in tonight.
So noticing your breath,
The inhale and the exhale.
Nothing to change,
Just follow the rhythm.
And slowly begin to move your awareness into your body.
Start with your head.
Let the muscles of your forehead soften.
Release your jaw.
Let your eyes feel heavy and warm.
Move your attention to your neck and shoulders.
So much tension gets stored here,
But not tonight.
Let gravity take this weight.
Your shoulders need not carry anything right now.
Now move down to your arms,
Your elbows,
Your hands.
Let them feel heavy,
Let them drop.
Bring your awareness to your chest,
To the gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Let your chest be soft and let your heart rest.
Now to your belly.
Let go of any holding.
Let these parts sink into the mattress beneath you.
Your knees,
Your ankles,
Your feet.
There's nothing they need to run toward.
Nowhere else to go.
So let them be still.
Let your entire body rest in this awareness.
Nothing is being asked of you.
This is your permission just to be.
So if any thoughts come,
Let them pass like clouds at dusk.
You are not these thoughts.
You're the dark night sky that holds them.
Let your body rest.
I'd like you to imagine that you are walking slowly toward a quiet place.
It's a space of peace and restoration.
It may be a temple or a sanctuary.
Maybe it's a natural cave with beautiful light.
Let it appear however it wishes.
This place is only for you.
There's no pressure,
No expectation.
There is beautiful silence,
Stillness.
And the perfect warmth here.
As you step inside,
Notice how the air feels on your skin.
This space is here to receive you.
And it can do so fully,
Unconditionally.
As you look ahead,
You see a gentle glow.
As you come closer,
You see that this gentle glow is the presence of a light being.
And it's not something you need to explain to yourself.
Or that you need to explain to them.
This being sees you.
Understands.
Their presence feels like peace itself.
This space feels comfortable and you lie down inside this sacred space.
The light being kneels beside you.
And with infinite tenderness,
They place one hand on your heart.
You don't need to speak or share anything.
They already know what you've carried today.
They can feel the weight.
The tension,
The thoughts,
The grief,
The trying.
And slowly with their touch,
You feel that weight begins to lift.
It's like they extract it out of you.
Something leaves you,
Gently.
It is this burden of having to be on.
The heaviness of holding it all together.
All of this dissolves.
As if evaporating into the light.
They touch your feet.
Your shoulders.
And each place that they touch with light.
And something unwinds.
Until there is nothing left for you to carry.
So let this light being hold it all.
You might feel yourself float.
You're completely supported here.
The light is with you.
