Hi,
My name is Jordana and tonight we're going to float into sleep.
So go ahead and get in your bed.
Make yourself nice and cozy.
Do any last little movements so that you can just completely relax.
Now,
Before we float into sleep,
We've got to drop off any heaviness,
Any baggage from the day.
It's not going to come with us as we go float into a magical space of sleep land.
So go ahead and take a deep breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Feel yourself letting go.
You might imagine on the next breath in that all of your thoughts can whirl into this breath.
And as you breathe out,
Let them swirl out of your mind,
Of your body.
Let's try that again.
Breathing in deep,
Almost like you could sweep up the thoughts as you breathe.
And then letting the thoughts sweep out,
Dissolve.
And scan the body now,
Beginning at the toes.
Noticing if even the bottoms of the feet can relax a little more.
Bringing awareness to the backs of the calves.
Feel them relax.
Feel them let go of any heaviness.
Let your awareness crawl up to the thighs,
The fronts and the backs of the legs.
And feel them relax.
And then bring your awareness to your hips,
To your pelvis,
Your buttocks.
Feel them relax.
Feel any tension that you hold here begin to spread.
Feel it let go.
Let your awareness travel up your spine.
Awareness to the low back,
Mid back and upper back.
And feel the whole back spread out.
Any weight that you have carried in your back.
Give it away.
This heaviness is not yours.
Not here.
Not now.
Relax your belly.
Let it soften.
Bring awareness to your heart.
Feel it radiate relaxation from its center.
Notice this feeling travel across the shoulders and down your bicep,
Past your elbow,
To your lower arm,
Your wrists,
Each hand.
Opening to this feeling.
And let relaxation drip off your fingertips.
Bring awareness to the neck,
To the back of the head,
The scalp.
Feel it relax.
And feel any tension in the brow.
Let go.
And feel your face soften,
Lips parted.
And take a few rounds of breath here.
Feeling your body in this relaxed state.
Feeling the heaviness from the body just dissolve.
Notice how the body feels as you release the weight,
The baggage that you're not checking on this trip.
This trip to sleep land.
You don't need any suitcases.
Your hands,
Your arms,
Your whole being is open to experience the freedom of floating,
Of weightlessness,
Of blissful,
Restful sleep.
You might notice the body feeling lightness.
Awareness to the heart again.
See that the heart is emanating lightness.
And this lightness spreads through the body,
Up towards the head,
Down towards the toes,
Across the arms to the fingertips.
And your whole body,
It's just light.
Almost like a feather.
You might even feel like it could lift up off the bed.
There's a sensation of the sweetest,
Most supportive,
Relaxing float.
Maybe even a gentle rock.
A sensation that makes you feel like you can just give in.
And as you do,
Your exhales grow longer.
And you drift.
And you float.
And you glide.
And awaiting you,
It is the most magical land.
The land of sweet,
Restorative sleep.
Totally give in.
And enjoy your visit.
Sleep land.
Sweet dreams.
