Welcome to your guided meditation.

My name is Jordana and I'm here to support you as we breathe through overwhelm.

During this short practice,

We'll use breath to shift the mind from overwhelm to a more relaxed way of being.

Let's get started.

Make yourself so comfortable.

Find a grounding way to sit up or lie down.

If you're in a chair,

You can come to the edge of the chair and plant your feet firmly on the ground.

If you have a wall available,

You might choose to shift perspective by shifting your body,

Letting your legs lean up against the wall.

If you do this,

Your back may lie flat on the ground with your arms out and palms up.

Take a few moments to choose your grounded seat.

Allow any physical weight and any mental weight you carry to melt down into the ground.

Welcome a quiet into your body.

Close your eyes.

Relax your jaw.

Relax your tongue.

Relax your eyes and your eyeball sockets.

Find some softness in your face,

In your neck,

In your spine.

Bring awareness to your breath.

Just noticing that you're breathing.

And up next,

You'll take the biggest inhale that you've had all day.

When you get to the top of your inhale,

Hold it for a moment.

Keep this hold filled with breath.

And whenever you need to let it go,

Let it go slowly,

Maybe with an audible sigh out of the mouth.

Take three breaths,

Just like this.

Retaining the breath for a comfortable amount of time for you.

When you're ready to breathe out,

Slowly releasing the breath,

Sighing it out the mouth and beginning again.

Let your final sigh,

This last exhale out of the mouth.

Let it relax you deeper.

And as you come back to your regular breathing pattern,

Without any control of the breath,

Allow your body to settle even more.

Remember that you are not your to-do list.

It is not your job on this earth to save anyone.

Simply,

It is to be you.

To do whatever it is that you're called to do.

To do it to the best of your ability.

And most importantly,

To do it while retaining your own well-being.

It only takes three conscious breaths to shift your energy.

To move from anxiety and overwhelm.

To peace,

To harmony.

From too much to calm.

So anytime in the day,

Anytime when you feel caught or overwhelmed,

You can practice these breaths.

Three deep breaths.

Go ahead,

Give yourself another one right now.

And find yourself returning back.

This is who you really are.

Namaste.
