Find a comfortable position either lying down or sitting upright,
Keeping your spine nice and long and letting your chin tuck in slightly.
Let your whole body relax,
Gently closing your eyes.
Take three slow,
Deep,
Intentional breaths in your own time,
With each inhale inviting in a sense of calm and relaxation.
With each exhale,
Releasing any tension,
Tightness or stress you may be carrying.
Let your shoulders relax,
Releasing down,
Away from your ears.
Relax your face,
Letting your eyebrows soften,
Your cheeks relax.
Letting your mouth,
Your lips.
Take three more slow,
Deep breaths in and out through your nose,
Releasing any remaining tension in your body.
Imagine yourself now sitting in a big,
Beautiful park surrounded by tall trees and lush green grass.
There is no one else around,
Yet you feel safe,
Supported and relaxed in this space.
The air is the perfect temperature.
You see the clear,
Bright sky above you.
The sun is shining down,
Gently warming your skin.
As you look across the park,
You see a large,
Tranquil pond in the distance.
You get up from where you were seated and begin to walk towards this pond.
You feel the sun warmed,
Soft grass under your bare feet as you walk.
With each step,
You feel more and more rested.
All your frustrations and worries seem to just slip away,
Leaving you feeling calm and at peace.
When you reach the edge of the pond,
You notice that the water is crystal clear.
It looks so inviting,
So you take a step closer,
Dipping your feet into the water.
You feel the cool,
Crystal clear liquid wash against your warm skin,
Leaving you feel cleansed and refreshed.
You take a moment to just breathe and soak up the stillness and tranquility of this place.
As you stand there,
You get the sense that you are carrying around something extra,
Something weighing you down.
You reach into your pockets and feel that there are some smooth stones you didn't realise were there before.
These stones represent your fears,
Your anger,
Pain or frustration.
Each stone representing something either known or unknown to you that is holding you back.
You pull these stones out of your pocket and hold them in your hands,
Taking a moment to reflect on what they may represent for you.
There may be specific situations,
Memories,
Grudges or grievances you are holding onto.
Maybe these stones represent feelings of hurt or anger.
They may even represent something you are not yet fully aware of,
Something you cannot name but that you know deep down is holding you back in some way.
It is time to let go of these stones now.
Time to let go of any fear,
Worry,
Guilt or anger.
Time to let go of any pain,
Sadness,
Regret or frustration.
It is time to let go of anything that is no longer serving you,
Anything that is weighing you down or holding you back from living your fullest,
Happiest life.
You are ready to let these go now.
One by one you slowly let each pebble drop into the pond,
Sinking into the water below.
One by one you choose to let go of the past in order to freely move forward into the present moment.
As each pebble drops down into the crystal clear water below,
It seems to sink quickly from sight,
Disappearing as if by magic,
Leaving only the ripples on the surface of the water above.
You watch as these ripples widen and slowly fade away,
As they do taking with them any remaining feelings of negativity.
As these ripples disappear,
You feel yourself able to fully,
Completely let go.
As these ripples disappear,
You notice yourself feeling lighter,
Happier,
More peaceful.
Your hands are now empty,
Your pockets light.
You feel a new found sense of ease as you stand there,
Feeling the cool water on your feet and the warm sun gently kissing your skin.
Take a few slow,
Deep breaths now.
Feel your chest expand as you inhale.
Feel your heart space begin to open up a little more.
Feel your breath coming easily in and out.
Feel as your shoulders relax completely.
Let your face soften as all tension leaves your body.
When you feel ready,
You begin to walk slowly back to where you were sitting,
Once again feeling the soft,
Warm grass beneath your feet,
Each step allowing you to feel more at peace.
You find your seat once again,
Taking a few more slow,
Deep breaths,
Letting this new sense of lightness and freedom sink into every part of your being,
Gently opening your eyes and coming back to the present moment only when you feel ready.
