Jake and welcome to this guided visualisation experience.
This experience is perfect for anyone looking to bring a little bit of relaxation into your life or anyone looking to peel off any layers of physical and emotional stress.
I'd like to invite you now to find a comfortable position lying down and just take a few moments here to get really comfortable.
Maybe you have a pillow,
A blanket,
Do whatever you need to do to make this experience as comfortable as possible for you.
When you're ready I'd like to invite you to close down your eyes.
Begin to feel the weight of your body being held by the floor.
Feel the weight of your eyelids and allow softness to spread through the body.
Before we begin this session we are going to make a commitment to ourselves that for the next period of time everything that you have to do,
Anywhere that you have to be will be left outside the room.
This moment now is purely just for you and for you alone.
So we're going to begin with some continuous sighing,
Breathing in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
Breathing in through the nose.
Keep up this cycle of sighing,
No stop,
No start.
Inhale after exhale,
One continuous loop.
With each exhale the body gets lighter and lighter.
The softness spreads through to every corner of your being,
Softening up the heart,
The mind and the body.
The weight on your shoulders that you've been carrying all week gets lighter and lighter.
Keep up the sighing.
Breathing in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
One last inhale,
Breathing fully in and hold the breath here at the top for 5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Let everything go and just return back to normal.
Start to pour your attention towards your breath and your body.
Start to feel all the subtle sensations that are happening inside you and just continue to breathe nice and light,
Nice and soft with no effort.
As you do that,
I'd like you to visualise a bright white light hovering above your body,
A safe,
Warm and nurturing light.
As you breathe through your nose,
You begin to breathe in this warm healing light.
It begins to travel in slowly through your nostrils and moves its way into your head,
Bringing softness to the temples,
Loosening up the forehead,
Removing any clinging in the jaw.
Brings a nurturing warmth to the head and it begins to move its way down your neck,
Cleansing any stresses and strains and just allowing that softness to continue rippling through the body.
The light begins to travel down into the chest,
Cleansing,
Clearing,
Alleviating any physical and emotional stress that you might be holding onto.
And that gentle warmth heats you up from the outside in.
Continuing to breathe nice and gently,
The light moves its way down through your legs,
Into your thighs,
Snaking its way down to your calves and ending in your feet.
Your whole body now is basking in this warm,
Nurturing,
Healing light.
The softness ripples through all the muscles and tendons in your body and you sit here floating in a state of peace,
In a state of calm and in a state of pure relaxation,
Just allowing the waves of softness to continue to ripple through the body,
Making everything feel nice and light as you bask in this warm,
Nurturing,
Healing light.
I'd now like to invite you to start to bring a little bit of movement back into the body.
Start to wiggle the toes,
Moving the fingers,
Bringing yourself back into your room,
Back into your body.
