Loving kindness meditation is a tool that can help us reduce stress. It starts with calming the mind and body, centering with the breath, and learning how to generate well being for ourselves from the inside out. This can be a powerful, liberating experience, to create a fountain of self-love from within. Then, if we wish, can project that energy outwards, toward our loved ones. Next, if we wish, we can project that energy outward toward those with whom we might be in disagreement. In this course, we will learn the tools of loving-kindness meditation. Part 1 starts with loving kindness for ourselves. Part 2 explores sending loving kindness to our loved ones. Part 3 looks at sending loving kindness to our acquaintances. Part 4 focuses on sending love to all living beings, near or far. Part 5 concludes.

This first part of the course explores loving kindness for yourself. It starts with some breathing exercises and guided visualization, imagining that you are sending love, grace, and compassion to yourself.

Loving-Kindness For Close Friends And Loved Ones
This next part of our course about loving kindness is about extending thoughts of love, grace, and compassion to close friends and loved ones. The course helps us deepen a connection to those whom we hold the most dear.

Loving-Kindness For Colleagues
This next part of the course creates a space for generating thoughts of love and compassion for colleagues and acquaintances--those with whom we might interact routinely but not know very well. It allows us to deepen a space for greater kinship with those in our community.
Lezione 4
Loving-Kindness For All Living Beings
This last part of the course teaches a way to practice loving kindness for all living beings--near or far--including people, animals, plants, and mother earth herself. It is a healing practice to feel connected and love for all of us.

Concluding Thoughts
This lesson offers a few words about the power of loving kindness, and how it can be a tool to keep us in balance, and connected to one another when sometimes we might feel disconnected from the world.
