Welcome to this five-minute meditation.
Mindfulness meditation.
This meditation is designed to give you a quick reset.
When you need to pause in the middle of a busy day.
Or transition from one thing to the next.
For this meditation,
I invite you to come into a comfortable position where you can sit.
Your spine is long.
And your feet can touch the ground.
So give yourself a moment,
Settle in with your body.
As you sit up tall,
Allow your shoulders to relax.
As you press your feet into the ground.
Allow your jaw to soften.
Find a natural rhythm to your breath where your chest and belly can expand.
And contract.
As you sit,
Let your body feel completely supported here.
And let your breath become an anchor into this present moment.
Settle the energy of the body.
Relaxing the arms,
Relaxing the legs.
Take a big breath in through your nose.
And exhale out of your mouth.
Check in with the body.
Making sure it feels supported,
Grounded,
Connected to the earth.
Big inhale through the nose.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale out of the mouth.
Now imagine the earth energy.
Is coming up to the bottoms of your feet.
And it's just an energy that's representing groundedness.
Stability.
The opportunity to be fully present.
In this one moment.
The opportunity to allow you to connect completely.
With your next breath.
The practice of mindfulness is designed to allow us to live fully in the present moment.
With complete awareness.
And without judgment.
Our body and our breath always stay.
In the present moment.
It's the mind that loves to wander.
So can you connect here?
Through the body,
Through the breath.
Can you have all of your awareness in the right now?
With curiosity.
Without judgment.
If anything wanders or becomes uncomfortable.
Just return to your breath.
And to close out this time together.
I encourage you to place your palms face down on your legs.
Pressing both your feet and your palms towards the stability of the earth.
The opportunity to be fully present.
Take one more long inhale.
Slow exhale.
And when you feel ready.
Coming back into your day.
