Thank you for joining me for this short contemplation on the earth element or the mother architect.
The earth is one of our primary and foundational elements.
It shows up in the four elements and the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine.
It shows up in the I Ching.
And its related elements.
And in many different philosophies.
The earth.
Connects to the Mother Wisdom.
And so that's what we're going to be exploring and feeling into.
In this discussion.
So of course it makes sense that the earth,
The very soil that we walk on,
That supports us,
That grounds us,
That feeds us,
Connects to the archetype of the mother.
And just a note here,
The mother is not deaf.
Female.
It has a feminine frequency,
But mother qualities can be found in someone of any age,
Of any gender,
And we don't have to have a child to feel in to nurturing,
For example.
So on that note,
Just.
Think about where does the mother archetype,
Those qualities,
The few that we've mentioned already,
Show in your life.
Just notice first things that come to mind for you.
We will do a short meditation.
Little bit later,
But for now just start mentally connecting with memories.
Or experiences that are currently taking place in your life.
And continue to do this as we go through our list of descriptive qualities.
Okay.
So as we mentioned,
There is.
.
.
The aspect of nurturing.
The part of the self that is able to naturally care for another,
Maybe it's an animal,
Maybe the plant's outside,
Or.
.
.
Maybe even for oneself.
Then there is the aspect of protection.
Think of the mother animals.
And how protective they are over their young.
It is so.
.
.
Clear to see it in nature.
And so if you have.
.
.
Connections like that that are very clear for you with any of these qualities.
Let that come forward.
And be part of your understanding of the mother archetype.
And of course we can think of humans as well.
So young children running to their mom and Grabbing onto mom because they know this is the safe hold and mommy's the safe place.
And You might remember that really well from your childhood,
Or maybe not.
So we can also understand these qualities.
Through our experiences that were there or through the experiences that were not there.
Another highlighted attribute of the mother is compassion.
To be able to sensitively feel.
For another.
To just Be able to hold space.
And that also links very much with this self-giving.
Part.
Able to give selflessly,
Without needing anything in return.
This is a light attribute.
Of the mother archetype.
In other words.
And it's embodied.
Perfection.
This is the matter of all methods.
Unconditional love.
And with that unconditional love comes the ability to let go.
And we can return to nature of thinking of this how.
Plant that is sinking into the soil.
Is not bound to the soil.
The soil which is the Earth,
Which is the Mother.
Provides the home and the comfort and the nurturing and everything that it needs.
It holds the minerals and the water and the warmth from the sun.
And yet it is not trying to own the plant.
Or.
.
.
The other qualities that are embedded in it.
It allows the plant to grow in its own way at its own time.
And whether the plant grows or dies or grows in that direction or that direction,
The soil remains.
It remains available as much as it can.
It remains receptive.
Yielding So where are you experiencing that in your life right now?
Or not.
Just notice what comes through for you without.
Going into judgement or connecting with any stories,
Just simply be aware.
From an objective perspective.
Okay,
This is with me.
Let's know.
That's with me.
That's not.
And so forth.
Mothering qualities are patient.
Kind.
And loyal.
They're also generative,
So they're able to help the process of multiplication.
So of course,
We think of.
A biological mother.
Who was part of the process of as being here right now.
And while each woman has that potential,
Requires an activation.
And even if that potential is activated,
There is still another activation needed in order for it to be experienced not only through the earthly body but through the emotional,
Mental and spiritual self as well.
So if you think of deities that express.
Maddalena.
Who comes to mind.
Some examples could be.
Mother Mary.
Kuan Yin.
Mother Teresa.
Other motherly qualities include being supportive.
And this support can show up in many forms.
Again,
We can think of the earth supporting so much which is in it or on it.
We can think how the human.
Support shows up in our lives.
Again,
Just remember,
It doesn't have to be your mother.
It could be somebody at work that really supports you.
And you feel.
That warmth.
Which talks into the motherliness.
So when you are out and about,
Look for images or items that are supporting each other and consider which one in that scenario is the mother.
They of course can both or all be carrying motherly qualities.
So to understand This.
Symbolic language.
Which connects to our subconscious and our intuitive self.
It really helps not only to think about it in terms of the self,
But also to see it taking place in the world around us.
And that can be.
In other humans.
But it doesn't have to be.
It can be in any shape or form.
So mothers archetypal mothers.
Are very grounding.
Think of a place or even a person that just makes you feel,
I can relax here.
I feel so at home.
There is that particular vibration.
That is present.
That experience.
So what has stood out for you thus far from everything that was mentioned,
Everything that sparked a response in your internal awareness.
Because that awareness for you is a highlight of something that you could potentially focus on to cultivate and grow or maybe to bring balance to because There is always.
.
.
The polarity opposites within these experiences.
So what we've been talking about now is The light attribute.
THOSE!
Almost.
Perfect like quality.
That ultimate divine experience of being supported and unconditionally loved in a compassionate environment.
With wise ones guiding us etc etc but of course Life does not always show up in that way.
Doesn't mean that it's not perfect.
That would be just our perception.
But the complementary opposite.
Part of the same vibration.
To showing up.
In a different form.
So.
.
.
An experience of impatience or lack of support.
Withholding love.
That is actually all of those holding the potential.
For transformation.
M2 The opposite of patience,
Of support,
Of support.
And conditional lip.
Other vibrations that connect to the same frequency of the Earth from an I Ching perspective.
Are the solar plexus,
The color black.
Just like the depths of the soil.
The related animal is a cow.
With all four hooves together.
Always firmly planted on the ground.
It's an animal that doesn't have the need to hurry unless it's urgent.
Very very necessary.
And it's carrying a complete yin frequency.
Which is a feminine vibration.
It's linked to the direction of the southwest.
So if you're feeling like you're needing more motherly qualities in your life,
Externally or from within yourself.
You can place some of these attributes or symbols that remind you of these qualities in the southwest direction.
Of a room that you frequent,
Or a space where you would like more motherly or earthly support in.
And the connected season.
It's autumn.
That ability to Just let go when need be.
It's now slow the breath and close the eyes.
As we take ourselves into Slightly deeper.
Contemplative meditation.
Relaxing the body.
Feeling your body grounding.
Feeling your body sinking down.
Connecting with the earth.
With a surface beneath you that can represent.
Earth's holding ability.
And with a blank canvas in your mind's eye,
Simply drop on your responses into the center of the canvas.
And there's no right or wrong,
It's simply.
.
.
Whatever.
Comes up for you right now.
Bring an image of your mother.
Into your mind's eye now.
It could be of any time of her life.
What do you notice about her as you look at her?
Now place that image.
To the side of the canvas.
So it's still on the canvas.
But to one side.
Now bring an image of soil.
And.
Sense into feeling that soil.
Maybe you're feeling it through your fingers,
Maybe you're feeling it under your feet.
Maybe you're smelling it.
What do you notice?
As you connect with the soil.
Take a breath in and then on your exhalation.
Slowly move that image to the other side.
Of the canvas.
And now consider which of the motherly qualities do you resonate with for whatever reason?
Is it nurturing?
Or protection.
Is it compassion or patience?
Wisdom and conditional love.
Support or grounding.
Is it the feeling of home?
Can what image,
Maybe images,
Connect with those qualities?
That came up for you.
Take a breath into that.
And as you exhale,
References of these images.
In the center of your canvas.
Now take a step back and view your canvas with your earthly mother on one side.
However she showed up for you.
With the soil on the other side.
And with an image or images in between.
And is there something that you see is familiar between all of these?
Is there a connecting thread?
Do you feel harmony?
Or not.
Just allow your awareness to surface.
In a very gentle,
And responsive manner.
And let's take one more deep breath in And as you exhale,
Slowly let this awareness start to fade.
If you received something meaningful,
You can.
.
.
Journal it,
But for now.
.
.
Please take a few moments to feel yourself in your physical body grounding down.
Opening the eyes when ready.
Looking around.
And arriving in prisons in the here and now.
And just before we close.
Ask of yourself.
Which one of the mothering qualities that we have connected with.
Do you feel is important?
For your life,
Your personal life right now.
And once you have connected with that,
With our hands over heart center,
Let's breathe that vibration of that particular quality into the heart.
And as you exhale,
Feel it travel throughout your body.
And you can repeat that.
Exercise,
That very short technique.
Of breathing in that particular quality.
And exhaling it out.
Throughout your being.
Repeat that as often as you need to.
And notice.
How it speaks to you.
What else comes through for you each time you connect.
With those certain messages.
In this way.
Thank you so much for connecting with me here through the Mother and Earth wisdom.
