This is a relaxing and nourishing NSDR yoga nidra practice focused on creating balance within the sacral chakra, using the sankalpa, "I embody the emotional flow within me." The purpose of yoga nidra is to weave awareness through the conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind to reinforce patterns that exist or create new ones through neuroplasticity while obtaining a deeper understanding of the self. The chakras are seven main energetic channels aligning the spine in the subtle body. Balancing the chakras allows space for prana, or energy, to flow within the body, promoting overall health and well-being in all aspects.

We'll begin to count the breath backwards starting at the number 7.

Each inhale and exhale.

We'll constitute one cycle of breath.

And you'll count 7 cycles backwards.

From 7 down to 1.

Inhale.

If you loose count or finish early,

Just go back and start over at 7.

Let go of count wherever you are.

Find a state of neutral.

Remember a time when you felt a hunger or wanting for something.

Allow this memory to transform into a physical sensation in your body.

What do you notice?

How does your body respond to feeling desire?

Where does this sensation form in your body?

How is your breath influenced by this drive?

Your heartbeat?

Witness and then let go.

Call on a feeling of being satiated.

Remember a time when your mind,

Body,

Or soul felt fed.

Where do you feel this in your body?

What sensations form through this feeling of fullness?

What shape does it take?

How does your body respond to being completely satisfied?

Do you feel it in your belly?

Your brain?

Your heart?

Observe yourself.

Allow your awareness to travel back to your third eye center and find neutrality.

Let the influence of both hunger and satiation dissolve.

Reset yourself so that you do not feel a pull in either direction.

From this place,

Imagine the smell of cinnamon biting into a juicy orange slice.

The feeling of slime in between your fingers.

A pool of water at the bottom of a canyon.

Cold plunging in freezing water.

A soft lollipop driving along the coast in a convertible where the mountains meet the sea.

Imagine yourself driving along the coast in a convertible where the mountains meet the sea.

You see the mountains to your right,

The waves dancing in sync to the music you're playing in the car to the left.

You feel a salty breeze kiss your face as you propel forward,

Taking a sip of your favorite drink and then placing it back in the cup holder.

As you continue to drive on this coastal highway,

You see the road start to ascend up towards the cliff ahead.

You continue driving towards this path and start to ascend higher with the road,

Broadening your view of the ocean below to your left as you climb.

Once you reach the top,

Your view of the ocean,

Beach,

And other surroundings is vast.

You park the car on a small grass field at the top of the cliff and get out to soak in the view.

The music in the car continues to play and you notice how the waves continue to flow with the beat of each changing tune as you continue to lean against the door of the car.

You become aware of large iridescent bubbles floating overhead and all around you.

You turn around to see where they are coming from and find someone familiar blowing the bubbles in your direction.

Someone you adore.

Notice who you see and as the bubbles float closer towards you,

Their size expands.

You reach up to pop the largest one you see,

Almost half the size of your body.

You break the surface tension with your fingers and as you do so,

The bubble pops and leaves a soapy residue on your hand.

You look down at your hand and see the soapy solution form into words on your palm reading your sankapa.

I embody the emotional flow within me.

You look up and see the glistering bubbles floating towards the sea.

You hop back in the driver's seat and invite the familiar person you saw blowing the bubbles to come with you.

You feel the bubbles and you feel a salty breeze kiss your face as you descend back down the path to the coastal highway below.

You hear the music continue to play and watch the waves moving rhythmically to the tune.

This time to your right.

The mountain you came from to your left.

As you reach the foot of the hill and continue along the coastal highway taking another sip from your favorite drink while you drive onward.

As you drive along the coast start to invite a more spacious breath into your lungs.

Find more length with each inhale and each exhale.

Start to awaken your body by wiggling your fingers and toes.

Coming back into the space you're in.

Slowly and carefully roll yourself over to one side.

Let your body melt for one more breath and use your arms to guide yourself back up to a seated position keeping your eyelids closed.

Draw your palms together to meet at your heart center.

Take one deep inhale and exhale.

Release your chin down.
