The Reiki kotodama or Jumon are sacred sounds which express the energy.
Today we'll be practicing with Choku Rei energy,
Also known as Earth Ki and represented by the power symbol.
The kotodama for Choku Rei is Ho Ku Ei.
In our practice,
We will center ourselves,
Connect to the energy of Choku Rei and breathe the energy deeply in.
The energy center we'll be using today is the root chakra,
Located at the base of your spine and the pelvic bowl surrounding it.
If it's available to you,
Please sit upright with your bottom and feet in contact with the floor or the chair in a posture that is grounding and supporting.
When we have breathed the energy in,
We will then release it as a sound on the out-breath,
Making the kotodama Ho Ku Ei in one breath.
We will repeat this nine times and then sit in silence for a couple of minutes to experience the energy we've caught.
This is a chanting exercise and if you're new to chanting,
You need to know two things.
Firstly,
That the chanting is the expression of the energy that moves through you.
And secondly,
That it doesn't matter how you sound.
The important thing is that energy.
Please take a deep breath and sense into the area of your root chakra and pelvic bowl.
Connect to Reiki energy,
Intending that you breathe it in all the way down to your base chakra with your in-breath.
Allowing it to flow from your base chakra throughout your whole body and energy field with your out-breath.
If you like,
You can place the Choku Rei symbol in your pelvic bowl or over your whole energy system and aura.
Remember,
The sacred sounds for this energy are Ho Ku Ei.
Breathe that energy in all the way down to your root chakra and pelvic bowl and on the out-breath,
Allow it to vibrate through your space on your voice.
Ho Ku Ei Ho Ku Ei Ho Ku Ei Ho Ku Ei Now we'll sit for a moment with the energy,
Noticing how it feels.
Give thanks to the Reiki energy and intend to release it,
Imagining it dissipating to wherever it needs to be and brushing or shaking yourself off if you wish.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Have a wonderful day.
