Hello my beautiful soul!

I am Gloria.

I'm a spiritual medium,

Psychic development teacher,

Certified live personal performance and holistic coach.

But honestly,

Above all those things,

I'm a woman on a mission.

And that mission is pretty simple.

I want to help people heal and come home to themselves.

Because that's what life is really about,

Isn't it?

Coming home to who we truly are.

And a huge part of that journey,

One that we often overlook actually,

Is looking after our energy.

So I've created this workshop,

This talk,

Because I believe that taking care of our energy is absolutely fundamental to our healing and our growth.

And it's also a fantastic way to set healthy boundaries,

Which let's be honest,

So many of us struggle with.

So in this session,

We're going to talk about how energy actually works,

What it feels like when our is vulnerable.

And then I'm going to share some powerful tools and techniques that you can use every single day to look after your energy.

Because here's the thing,

Protecting your energy is not just about spirituality.

It's about your emotional health,

Your mental clarity,

And even your physical well-being.

It helps prevent emotional overwhelm,

It reduces energy drain,

And it shields you from negative influences.

And it helps you stay centered and calm,

Even when the world around you feels chaotic.

And I want to be super clear from the start,

Protecting your energy is not about building walls around yourself.

It's not about shutting people out or being cold or disconnected.

It's actually about creating healthy,

Loving boundaries so that you can stay open and connected without being depleted.

Just like you wash your physical body every day to stay clean,

You also need to cleanse and protect your energy regularly.

So let's dive in.

First,

Let's talk about what energy even is.

So your aura or your energy body is basically an extension of your physical self.

It's this beautiful field of energy that surrounds you.

And it's fascinating because it acts both as a shield and as a sponge.

So it helps protect you from things that might drain you from the outside,

But it also absorbs energy from people,

Places and situations around you.

Usually your aura extends about three to five feet around your body.

But honestly,

It can expand or contract depending on how you're feeling and what's going on in your life.

Your aura is influenced by your emotions,

Your thoughts,

And the energies of the people and environments you're in.

So it's like your personal Wi-Fi signal.

Basically,

It's sending out information,

But it's also picking it up.

And sometimes negative energy,

Negative or heavy energy can stick to our aura.

And that's when we start feeling exhausted,

Confused,

Anxious,

Or just off.

So how do we know when our energy field needs a little bit of TLC?

Let me share with you here some of the most common signs.

You feel drained or exhausted for no obvious reason.

Your mood swings after being around certain people.

You feel physically heavy or your mind gets foggy in crowded or tense places.

You find it hard to focus or stay emotionally grounded.

Or sometimes you just feel like you're carrying around energy that isn't even yours.

Sounds familiar?

Don't worry,

It happens to all of us,

Especially those of us who are sensitive or empathic.

And it's nothing to be ashamed of.

It just means that you're alive and open hearted.

So now,

In order to understand our aura and our energy better,

I would like to do a little bit of a check in together,

Checking into your energy.

So if you're in a safe space where you can close your eyes,

Go ahead and close them gently.

Just allow yourself to relax.

Close your eyes gently and then take a deep breath in and then slowly exhale.

Now bring your awareness to the energy field around your body.

Can you sense where your energy feels strong and vibrant?

Just have a little check in.

Stretch out into your energy field.

Can you perhaps notice any areas that feel a little bit heavy or dense or perhaps weak?

Maybe it's around your head or your chest or your back.

Just observe for a moment without judgment.

This simple act of tuning into your energy field is your first step in protecting it.

Now,

When you're ready,

Take another gentle breath and slowly open your eyes.

And now reflect a little bit on how did you feel?

What did you learn about your energy and your energy field through this simple check in?

You can pause the talk if you want to write down your thoughts,

If you feel like.

Otherwise,

We're going to now dive into some tools and techniques that are going to help you take care of your energy.

One of the most important things you can do for your energy is grounding.

Grounding is what helps keep you connected to the Earth.

It gives you stability,

Balance,

And it helps you release any energy that doesn't belong to you.

When you're grounded,

You're present,

You're in your body,

You're focused.

Without grounding,

It's easy to feel scattered,

Anxious,

Or like you're floating around without direction.

So let me share with you a few grounding techniques that you can try.

So first is breathwork and visualization.

So you can sit or stand comfortably for this.

You can feel your feet firmly on the floor and imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet and going deep,

Deep down into the Earth.

And then as you exhale,

You want to picture any stress,

Any tension,

Or any heavy energy flowing down those roots into the Earth,

Where this heavy energy can be transformed.

You can also try physical grounding.

So for example,

Walking barefoot on grass or soil,

Which is very simple but so powerful.

And you can accompany this with the visualization that we just mentioned.

Feeling like you're growing roots under your feet and feeling the energy,

Picturing,

Visualizing the energy leaving your body,

The heavy energy leaving your body.

And physical grounding,

Another way to do physical grounding is holding grounding crystals like black tourmaline or hematite,

For example.

Or you can do grounding through the food that you eat.

So root vegetables like carrots,

Sweet potatoes,

And beets,

Or protein-rich foods that help anchor your energy.

So next time you're feeling scattered,

You can ask yourself,

Am I grounded right now?

And then act accordingly.

Do you need a visualization?

Do you need to nurture your grounding through the food that you eat?

Do you need to carry with yourself some grounding crystals?

Another way to protect your energy is creating protective energy shields.

Now these are very powerful because they help keep out unwanted or negative energy while still allowing the positive energy to flow freely.

So it's like having energetic boundaries but without shutting yourself off from life.

I personally love,

Love,

Love using energy shields.

Now these are a few different shields that you might want to try.

You can try a white light shield.

So you can picture yourself surrounded by bright white light,

Like a glowing bubble of pure protection.

And I always,

This one specifically makes me feel so,

So safe whenever I do it.

You can also do the golden egg shield,

Which is when you visualize yourself inside a golden egg or a sphere.

This one is strong,

Protective,

And keeps chaos out,

Especially if you're in busy places or around intense people.

Sometimes I find markets very overwhelming because there are so many people,

There's a lot of movement around.

So it can become quite overwhelming for me.

And this is my go-to.

I literally stand there and it takes three seconds.

I literally stand there and visualize this egg,

This golden egg shield around me.

And I imagine it to be like thick,

You know,

So I can still enjoy the market,

But it's protecting the energy.

I'm not absorbing the chaos around me.

Yeah.

And another one of my favorite is a mirror shield or a wall of steel.

So this is when you imagine a reflective shield around you,

That bounces the negative energy back to its source without absorbing it.

So if you're dealing with someone who's a bit hostile or draining,

This is very,

Very,

Very,

Very useful because it bounces the energy back to them.

And I also like to remind when we use shields,

I mean,

In general,

But when we use shields as well,

That your intention is everything.

You don't have to visualize it perfectly because I know that visualizing doesn't come easy to a lot of people.

So if you're one of those people,

Just set the intention.

Okay.

Set the intention.

I am protected as you sense creating this shield around you,

Whether it's a white light or a golden egg or a wall of mirrors or a wall of shield,

Just sense,

Sorry,

A wall of steel,

Just sense creating that around you and set the intention.

I am protected.

Now,

Another tool is energy cleansing because energy protection means cleansing your field regularly,

Just like taking a daily shower,

Like we mentioned earlier.

So here are my favorite techniques to cleanse your energy.

Smudging.

This is very popular.

You can burn sage,

Palo or incense to clear stagnant energy.

And you can do that around yourself or in your physical space.

Salt baths are another great way.

So Epsom salts or Himalayan salts help clear heavy energy from your aura.

And you can also sprinkle salt around your home or place balls of salt in the corner of a room to absorb negative energy.

If you're consuming salt,

If you're eating salt,

I love Celtic salt because it's the it's the salt that actually keeps the most minerals inside.

All the other ones have a smaller percentage,

But Celtic salt keeps the higher and it feels energetically pure.

So I highly recommend that.

Sound healing is another way.

Singing bowls,

Tuning forks or even chanting can help you break up stuck energy because sound shifts your vibration and clears your field beautifully.

If you ever had a sound bath,

It's blissful.

You know that feeling when you're when you're there or after you finish the sound bath.

It's beautiful if you feel like completely recharged and renewed.

And you can also do crystal cleansing so you can carry with you black tourmaline,

Black obsidian or selenite,

Which are great for cleansing energy.

You can place them in your home or in your office or you can wear them as well.

Remember to cleanse and charge your crystals.

And the full moon is perfect for this.

Be careful to actually washing your crystals because not all crystals can be put in the water.

So make sure I wouldn't use water.

I just charge them under the full moon.

And if you have them displayed somewhere,

I would just wipe them to get the dust off.

But for charging them,

The full moon is absolutely fine.

Now,

Let's talk about boundaries,

Because this is a big one for so many of us.

Setting emotional and psychic boundaries doesn't mean shutting people out.

It means knowing where you end and someone else begins.

So emotional and psychic boundaries are fundamental for protecting and clearing our energy.

A few ways to create strong boundaries are visualization.

So again,

With the golden light,

With the white or the golden light around you.

So picture that bubble around you.

You can also try a pink bubble if you want to suffer loving boundaries.

Also saying no.

Remember the no is a full sentence.

Yeah.

Every time you say no to something that drains you,

You're saying yes to yourself.

So a very useful question here to ask yourself is,

What am I saying yes to by saying no right now?

What does that mean?

You know,

And you can take time.

You don't have to give people an answer straight away.

You can just say,

Let me think about this and then check in with yourself.

How does this thing make me feel?

If I say yes to this,

What am I saying no to and vice versa?

Another beautiful way to protect our boundaries or to create solid boundaries is cord cutting.

Sometimes,

Especially when we have painful connections with someone,

We stay energetically tied to people from our past.

Think like significant relationships in our life.

Yeah.

So what you want to do is visualize those cords that run between you and the other person and gently cut them,

Letting the energy return to where it belongs.

Remember that this isn't cruel.

It's a loving thing.

You're reclaiming your own power by cutting the energy ties that are draining you.

Crystals and essential oils are also beautiful tools for protection.

Some of my favorite are black tourmaline and black obsidian,

Which I already mentioned.

These are amazing for absorbing negative energy and keeping you grounded.

Amethyst is great for psychic protection.

It enhances intuition and it creates a peaceful energy field.

Hematite is great for grounding and shielding as well.

Remember protective jewelry,

So necklaces and bracelets with crystals act like little energetic bodyguards that you can have,

You can take with yourself all day.

I personally always wear a black obsidian necklace.

Always,

Always,

Always.

And then essential oils,

For example,

Lavender,

Frankincense and eucalyptus,

You can diffuse these or put a drop on your skin.

And these are great for purifying the energy and raising your vibration as well.

And then we have to talk about energetic hygiene,

Because energetic hygiene is like brushing your teeth.

It's a small daily practice with a big,

Big impact.

So you can do morning energy clearing.

So this is a great way to start your day intentionally.

That is a meditation that I myself do daily multiple times a day,

Because with the work that I do,

I cleanse before and after every session that I have.

But it's a great daily cleanse to have great daily cleanse.

You can also do an evening cleanse and release anything that you've picked up during the day.

Now for this one,

If you want to try it out,

You can do this simply by,

You know,

Standing,

Sorry,

Sitting on your bed and just simply setting the intention to release everything.

And you can do that with the grounding technique that we've mentioned,

Where you have roots coming out of the soles of your feet and you release the negative energy.

The negative energies and the pain,

Washing it away.

It's a beautiful meditation.

Or you can do any meditation.

Any meditation is beautiful,

Energetic hygiene.

Even if you just have five or 10 minutes,

It's great to keep you centered and energetically clear.

You can just find quick meditations.

There's many,

Many here on Insight Timer to just have that five minutes of focus and come back to your center.

That's a beautiful practices.

Remember that,

Yes,

These practices don't have to be long or complicated.

It's more about consistency and intention.

So if you feel,

For example,

The energy cleansing meditation that I have here on Insight Timer,

I think it's about 15 minutes.

If you feel like you don't have that and you just have five minutes,

Then utilize that five minutes.

Don't let time put you off.

Do with whatever you have.

The important thing is that you start.

The important thing is that you have the intention to do it.

And then,

You know,

We grow life changes and everything.

Maybe in a little while you'll find yourself having a little bit more of extra time,

Or maybe you'll find yourself that you actually want to rearrange a few things to create more time for yourself around this.

But don't let the idea of not having enough time stop you.

Yeah.

Even if you have two minutes,

That's enough.

The important thing always is intention.

Okay.

I hope that this talk has given you some new tools and some reminders for how to protect and nurture your precious energy.

Remember that your energy is sacred.

You deserve to feel safe.

You deserve to feel grounded and empowered every single day.
