Helping people reach their relaxation and stress-management goals by applying Mindful Breathing with Music (MBM) has been a decades' long focus for Marilyn Immoos. MBM is a technique developed during her studies, beginning in the mid-1980’s while at the University of Vienna, Austria. This methodology is based upon the integration of a guided imagery narration that models healthy, relaxed breathing with the auditory experience of listening to calming music For decades, Marilyn Immoos-Langlois has offered guidance and materials to individuals, as well as to therapists, medical providers, coaches and counselors. People worldwide have used these materials. Many have experienced a deepening of the connection between their mind and body as a result having experienced profound relaxation through mindful breathing and the flowing of the calming melodies and of the rich harmonies. These practices support mindfulness and self-care, but they are not psychotherapy or medical treatment
