Welcome to this full moon blossoming potential,
Yoganidra.
This is a sacred time where the veil between your conscious intentions and the universe's abundant response grows thin.
Through this practice of Yoganidra,
You honor the blossoming of potential that has been quietly growing within you.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Lying down,
Allowing your body to be fully supported.
You may wish to place a cushion underneath your knees,
A small pillow beneath your head and perhaps cover yourself with a light blanket to stay warm during your Yoganidra.
If it feels good for you,
I invite you to let your eyes half or fully closed,
Guiding your awareness to this sacred moment beneath the radiant full moon.
As we begin this practice,
Connecting with your breath,
I invite you to take a moment to connect with your intention for this practice.
Perhaps there's a specific area of your life where you're witnessing early signs of growth and transformation.
Hold your intention in your heart as we proceed through the Yoganidra,
Knowing that the full moon's energy amplifies your conscious creation.
Let's take a deep breath in and a long breath out.
Another deep breath in and a long breath out.
Let's take one last deep breath in and a long breath out,
Releasing it completely.
Guide your awareness to the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.
Feel the gentle support offered to you,
Allowing you to surrender more deeply with each breath.
As you surrender with each breath,
Become aware of the natural rhythm of your breath and notice how your breath is already perfectly coordinated with the rhythm of life itself.
With each exhale,
Feeling yourself melting more completely into Mother Earth and with each inhale,
Feel yourself receiving the nourishing energy of the full moon shining above you.
We'll now move through a guided relaxation of your entire body using the imagery of blossoms opening to guide your practice.
Guide your awareness to your feet,
Visualizing tiny pink rosebuds at each of your ten toes,
Slowly unfolding as you breathe.
Feel any tension dissolving as each of these ten flowers open,
Moving up to your ankles,
Calves and your knees.
Envision cherry blossoms spiraling around your joints,
Their pink petals releasing any holding or tightness in your lower body.
Your thighs and hips now fill with the energy of peony blooms,
Lush,
Fully supported and substantial.
Feel these rich flowers opening,
Creating a sense of flourishing ease and spaciousness throughout your pelvic region and your belly becoming a garden of lotus flowers,
Unfolding with each breath.
Feel these flowers in your digestive system,
In your reproductive organs and in the sacral center of your creativity,
Opening in perfect time with your natural rhythm.
Feel your heart and your chest bright with the blossoming of wild roses,
Their opening bringing expansion to your lungs,
Softening around your heart,
Creating space for giving and receiving.
Your shoulders,
Arms and your hands become adorned with delicate wisteria blooms,
Cascading down your limbs,
Releasing any burden or weight you've been carrying.
Feel these flowers opening from your shoulders,
Elbows,
Down to your wrists and finally blossoming into the center of your palms and each of your ten fingertips of your left and right hand.
Feel your neck and throat relax as blue morning glories blossom open there,
Creating a channel of authentic expression for your voice.
Feel your voice center softening and blossoming into its true potential.
Feel your face relaxing completely as tiny jasmine flowers bloom all along your jaw,
Your chin,
Your cheeks,
Your upper lip and your lower lip,
Your nose,
Your eyes,
Your eyebrows and even the space between your eyebrows.
Feel the sweet fragrance of these flowers softening,
Empowering you to feel deeply at peace.
And sense and feel at the crown of your head opening a magnificent moon flower,
Drinking in the direct light and energy of the full pink moon above you.
Feel this illumination pouring into your entire being,
Connecting you to universal wisdom and your highest potential.
From head to toe,
From toes to head,
Your entire body is now a living garden of blossoms,
Each one opening in its perfect timing,
Expressing its unique beauty.
Allow yourself to rest in this flowering of your being.
Keeping your physical body relaxed,
Guide your awareness to the subtle movement of your breath,
Noticing how it flows like gentle breezes through the garden of your body.
With each inhale,
Drawing in the silvery pink light of the full moon.
With each exhale,
Feel this luminous energy circulating throughout your entire system,
Nourishing every blossom within you.
Inhaling,
Drawing in the light of the moon.
Exhaling,
Feeling this luminous energy flow through your body.
Continue to allow your breath to become even more subtle and more refined,
Sensing the pulsation of life force and light throughout your being.
Now,
See yourself standing in the moonlit garden.
The air is perfectly mild,
Caressing your skin with gentle assurance.
Above you,
The pink full moon hangs like a luminous gift,
Casting its rosy silver light across the earth.
And before you stands a magnificent cherry tree,
Its branches heavy with buds that have yet to open fully.
As you observe,
The moonlight begins to work its magic.
Slowly and gently,
Each bud begins to unfurl.
One,
Then another,
Then clusters and waves of blossoms opening in response to the moon's gentle invitation.
You step closer to the tree,
Feeling drawn to its transformation.
As you approach,
You realize that this tree is a perfect reflection of your own being,
Your dreams,
Your potential,
Your blossoming.
Each blossom represents an aspect of your life that is becoming,
That is ready to express itself more fully.
You find yourself standing right underneath the tree's canopy,
And you look up,
And you see the blossoms opening above you,
Releasing a shower of luminous pink petals spiraling down on you,
Landing softly on your shoulders,
Your head,
And your outstretched hands.
As the petals touch your body,
They dissolve into your being,
Integrating this blossoming energy into every level of your consciousness.
As you connect with your cherry blossom tree,
Allow a moment to connect with a specific area of your life that is showing early signs of growth.
This could be a relationship with yourself or others,
A creative project,
Your career,
Your spiritual practice,
Or an aspect of your well-being.
See this area of your life as a particular branch of this tree and witness as its buds now open fully under the gentle encouragement of the pink full moon.
As you watch the blossoms open,
Following their unique pattern and timing,
You know that just as flowers cannot rush their unfoldment,
Neither can you force your own becoming.
You feel yourself reach up and gently touch one of these pink blossoms,
And as your fingers make contact,
You receive a deep insight about your own life.
What wisdom does this flower have to share with you?
Please take the next moment to listen to the wisdom from your inner blossoms,
Knowing that this is a message from your highest self.
Bring this insight and wisdom from your highest self with you,
And unite it with the intention you connected with at the beginning of your yoga nidra practice.
You may wish to repeat this silently to yourself three times,
Knowing that it is already blossoming into reality,
Nourished by your consciousness and the supportive energy of the pink full moon.
Begin to deepen your breathing,
And as you do so,
Gently reawakening your physical body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Stretching and moving in any way that feels most nourishing to you.
And when you feel ready,
If your eyes are closed,
Gently and slowly let them blink open,
Bringing the energy of blossoming potential with you as you transition into a more everyday state of consciousness.
Know that the insights and relaxation you've received from your yoga nidra practice will continue with you just as flowers continue their opening long after we've stopped watching them.
Allow the pink moon's blessing to stay with you as you continue with the rest of your evening or your day.
Thank you for joining me for this practice.
