This meditation will help you connect with compassion to all beings everywhere and feel a deep sense of belonging in the world. Giving yourself kindness and respect, you give kindness and respect to the whole world. This meditation will also help you cultivate respect for yourself and your rhythms. We end with gratitude to the mind and gratitude-- thanking yourself for being present and connected. You will feel more gratitude, spacious, and courageous after this practice.

Take a deep breath in.

Take a deep breath out through the mouth.

Let the body relax and release.

Find a posture that is comfortable.

And welcome to this meditation that is all about uniting.

Imagine all people in this world today.

Bring to mind the idea of all the people in this country and all the people in other countries.

Some beings are so far.

Many of them you don't know.

Many are younger than you.

Many are older than you.

Each being a child to someone.

Each being an important part of the world.

Same for each being.

I accept you as you are.

I am open to a positive collaboration.

I want to connect on the level of the soul.

Let's work together to make the world more peaceful.

To create more beauty.

To reduce suffering.

To find the sweetness of life.

Sending the wish,

May all beings everywhere be happy.

May all beings be respected.

May all beings find the joy of connection and being connected.

Acknowledging that you are not separate from the universe that gave rise to you.

Respecting yourself,

You respect the entire universe.

Take a deep breath in.

And put a hand on your heart and breathe out.

Send yourself the wish,

May I collaborate with every part of myself.

May I respect the humanness in myself.

My ups and downs and my rhythms.

Send yourself the wish,

May I treat myself with kindness.

May I protect myself.

And may every being be safe and protected.

And now for a moment,

Send compassion and gratitude to every person who has contributed to your life in a positive way.

Thinking back to the people who have really supported you and been kind to you.

And send gratitude.

And now sending gratitude to yourself for having done this compassion practice.

Sending gratitude to your mind and your heart.

Thank yourself for being present and connected.

And thank the practices themselves,

The space we practice in,

And those who practice with us.

And take a deep breath in.

Take a deep breath out through the mouth.

And open your eyes.
