Welcome.
I'm Ed and this meditation is for those nights when your mind won't stop turning.
When fear,
Worry,
Or disappointment rises just as you're trying to get some rest.
First,
You need to know that you're not alone.
These moments happen because your mind and body are trying to protect you.
Tonight,
We'll thank that protective energy and then allow it to soften.
You don't have to push your thoughts away.
You only need to remember that beneath them there is peace waiting to hold you.
And along those lines,
I want you to connect with my voice right now.
Close your eyes.
Get in that comfortable position where you always like to sleep in and just listen to my voice.
Listen to the deep resonating voice that God gave me to help you and feel the vibration of it in your body and allow that vibration to soothe you.
And it soothes you because within you,
Underneath your mind is that quiet,
Silent self that just wants to come forth.
All right.
So my words,
Let them float above you,
But don't lose touch with my voice.
Good.
Most people don't understand that at night we have this kind of thinking.
It happens to all of us.
Elizabeth Gilbert,
The famous author,
Called it horizontal thinking.
And during the day,
We don't do that kind of thinking.
We're active.
And so these fearful thoughts,
These worries,
These maybe this will happen or maybe that will happen is drownded out with the attention of the day.
Now,
We're tired.
We lay down and the thoughts pop up.
Thank you,
Mind,
For protecting me.
Thank you,
Mind,
For making sure that I'll be okay,
For seeing danger,
For making sure that I'll be all right or my family will be all right.
Thank you,
But I'm going to be okay.
I'm going to feel the deep calm.
I'm going to feel the deep peace that's vibrating in Ed's voice.
I'm going to attune to it.
I'm going to allow my mind and body to tune into Ed's voice and feel that deep,
Subtle connection,
The peace,
The quiet that comes with that vibration.
Do you no longer need to worry?
You're at home.
It's dark.
And your mind may say,
Oh,
I must think about this.
But you don't have to.
Say thank you,
Mind.
And just listen to my voice.
Your body may twitch or have sensations or heat.
Say,
I feel you,
Body.
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing with me.
But I feel the vibration of Ed's voice,
And I'm allowing myself to be lost in that and allow that vibration to tune into my inner quiet and silence and allow me to find some peace and quiet and calm.
You're finding the calm through my voice that's already there.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And as you say thank you to yourself,
What you're really saying is,
I love myself.
I have no fear of what will happen.
I let all those maybes drop.
Tomorrow I can pick them up.
I bring compassion to this moment.
I hear Ed's voice,
And I feel his compassion for me,
And I allow it to come into me.
I allow it to take over me,
And I allow myself to get quiet and peaceful and silent.
I allow silence to come into me now.
I allow silence to come into me now.
Peace to come into me now.
I allow serenity to come into me now.
And as you relax and as you get quiet,
Feel the gentle love and touch that's waiting for you in deep,
Resounding sleep.
And if your thoughts are coming through stronger,
Just tell them,
No thank you.
I choose love.
I choose peace.
I choose the vibration of Ed's voice,
Rather than worry and fear.
I know that if I was up and at work right now,
I would not be fearful.
I would know that I could handle it.
But at night,
We lose touch to a certain part of our strength.
And my voice is here to remind you that you are strong.
The love and compassion of yourself comes to meet my voice and resonate within you to ensure that you fall asleep into a deep,
Resounding sleep.
Yes.
Can you feel it?
Take a deep breath.
Know that you are a powerful being.
You are a powerful creator.
During the day,
You create and make things happen.
And you can do that now by just creating silence,
Peace.
Connect with my voice and watch the silence and peace begin to grow.
As you lie in your comfortable position,
With your eyes closed,
Listening to my voice.
It's just a matter of time until the natural tendency of your body and your mind goes into the healing mode.
Feel my voice and know that you are well,
And know that you are good.
And know that this nighttime cannot fool you,
That you need to worry,
That you need to uncover every maybe,
Every possibility.

Just breathe.
Yes.
And feel my voice.
Feel my voice in your chest,
In your solar plexus.
Feel my voice in your heart.
Feel my voice emanate through your heart and through your chest and through your solar plexus to every cell in your body saying,
Relax,
Sleep.
Don't worry.
Everything is going to be okay.
I love myself.

And so,
I will just listen to the vibrations of Ed's voice and let my mind and body naturally fall asleep.
We don't think ourselves to sleep.
We feel ourselves to sleep.
Can you feel it now?
Feel the vibrations of sleep.
Yes,
And let them in.
And know that you,
With the help of my voice,
Is allowing yourself to sleep and rest,
And setting the incredible intention that you will sleep deeply and awake,
Fully rested,
Wide awake and ready to go into your day and solve all of your problems.
But now is the time to sleep.
The vibration of sleep,
The vibration of my voice,
They are one right now.
And if you're still up,
Repeat after me,
I am falling asleep.

I don't need to worry.

All is good.
All is as it should be.
My life is perfect in that I learn whatever I need to learn.

Sleep is the gift and the release of the day,
And I accept it.
I love it.
I can't wait for it.
One with my sleepy,
Sleepy self.
I am one with my sleepy self.
Feel the vibrations of my voice.
Feel the stillness of the sound of my voice.
And know if you can feel it,
You are it.
You have the ability to be it.
My voice is just a mirror.
A mirror of who you are and who you can be.
I deserve to sleep.
So fall asleep with me right now.
