Meet your Teacher

Ed Fox is the founder of the MindBody Awakening curriculum, speaker, meditation teacher, and stress and trauma coach who has touched the lives of thousands of people searching for emotional and spiritual freedom. When Ed was 21 he had a radical spiritual awakening and was encouraged by his teacher, to share meditation world wide. He went on to study with Don Miguel Ruiz to learn the Toltec traditions of letting go of the dream of negative beliefs and went on to incorporate meditation with relief from stress, anxiety, and ptsd. With over 40 years of teaching meditation Ed has cultivated a program where he connects the essential energy of our pure being, ancient meditation traditions, and mindfulness, to create a safe and supportive atmosphere for learning how to empower oneself and thrive in a complex world. At the core of Ed's teaching is the idea that we don’t need to accumulate knowledge to be happy and fulfilled. All the resources that we need is already within us waiting to be released. In this lesson, you will receive a Mantra, if you don't have one already, and instructions on how to use it. Ed will lead you into meditation, and you and Ed will meditate together with some suggestions for the best practice at the end.

Lesson 4

Checking Your Meditation Practice

The approach to Mantra meditation is so easy and natural that it can feel like it should be harder or more complex. Because of this many people unconsciously apply effort and so in this lesson, and after meditating a few times Ed will check your meditation. At the end of this checking, Ed offers some more suggestions to ensure an easy and effortless experience.

Lesson 5

How The Mind Body Connection Is Essential To Mantra Meditation

There are two strokes or directions in meditation. There is a inward stroke of meditation that is governed by the Mantra and the outward stroke which is governed by the body. Every meditation is a series of going within and coming out of the deep levels of meditation. In this lesson Ed discusses these two strokes and how they are both natural and easy because they are governed by the natural tendencies of the mind and body. Understanding these tendencies allows us even more freedom to be "OK" with whatever happens in meditation.

Summary | Last Thoughts And Suggestions

In this lesson, Ed summarizes the Mantra practice and suggests some last tips and a protocol that will allow you to have a LASTING and easy meditation practice.
