Hello.
My name is Eden,
And I am a Reiki Master,
Meditation Guide,
And Forever Student.
And today we are going to be embarking on a little Reiki journey oriented around release.
So if release is a desire or an intention of yours today,
Join us.
And go ahead and find a comfortable place to lay.
Maybe that's in bed,
Maybe that's on the couch with a fuzzy blanket,
Maybe that's on the floor on a yoga mat.
Just somewhere where you can be undisturbed for the next 60 minutes.
And just settling in here together now,
Taking a deep breath in through the nose,
And sigh it out the mouth.
Two more just like that,
In through the nose.
And sigh it out,
Shoulders move away from the ears.
Last one,
In through the nose.
And sigh it out the mouth,
Letting the head be heavy.
And then letting the breath flow now as it so pleases.
Letting the breath soften.
And we'll do a little body scan together to have a moment of intentional release in the physical body.
So bringing your awareness up to the crown of the head to start.
And here imagining almost like you are stepping under a waterfall.
Feeling relaxation move down the head through the crown.
Releasing the space between the eyebrows.
Letting the eyes stop searching in their sockets.
Letting the nose be long on the face like the spine in the body.
Letting the cheeks fall down the cheekbones.
That space right behind each ear relaxes.
The jaw releases.
And the tongue floats in the mouth.
And doing a tiny little tuck of the chin to let that spine elongate all the way through the crown just a little bit more.
Maybe that shift is almost imperceptible,
But you feel it.
And moving the shoulders away from the ears even more now.
Just playing with that for a few breaths.
Maybe forcing the shoulders down with the muscles.
And then releasing the muscles.
Noticing if the shoulders can just stay there.
Without being forced,
But just by being asked.
Just through letting go.
And taking one round of breath into the chest.
Letting the shoulders move away from one another.
And another round of breath into the ribcage.
Watching the ribs open and close.
And another round of breath low into the belly.
Belly button reaches to the sky.
And then to the spine.
Squeezing all of that stale air out.
And bringing that awareness down the arms now.
Finding release through the muscles of the upper arms.
Through the elbow joints.
Through the forearms.
And all the way through the palms and into each fingertip.
Just rolling right off the end.
That relaxation washing through your body.
Letting the fingertips find a gentle curl.
And letting that same relaxation wave wash down the upper back.
The middle back.
And the lower back.
Unwinding some of those big muscles back there that are often easy to forget about.
The unseen.
The difficult to feel.
Releasing those too.
And continuing that wave down through the hips.
Through the pelvis.
And down the legs.
Through the thighs.
The hamstrings.
The kneecaps.
And down the shins.
The calves.
All the way through the soles of the feet.
And toes.
Watching the legs splay out just a little wider.
As your body finds that spaciousness.
That release within your system.
And take a moment.
Take a breath to soak this in.
This relaxation in the physical body.
Maybe taking another moment to relax any tiny little muscles in the face that have already tensed back up.
And breathing into this feeling again.
And then gently letting that focus go.
Drawing your awareness back to your breath.
And just watching the breath move in and out of the body.
No need to shift the breath or judge the breath.
Or feel prideful in the breath.
Releasing all of those labels and just allowing yourself to be with the breath.
This breath.
The one right here.
And how close to the present moment can you get?
Watching every inch of breath as it travels down and back out.
Can you notice the texture of the breath?
Notice the patterns of the breath.
Perhaps it naturally travels somewhere in the body.
And perhaps there's areas in the body where the breath does not seem to want to go where you might expect it to be.
How close can you get to the present experience of your breath?
And perhaps here you've noticed this dance that comes online when prompted to be present with the breath.
There's this feeling of presence,
Of noticing,
Of awareness that you might have as you hold the breath.
And then there's this very natural,
Normal instinct for the mind to come in and say,
Oh,
That texture is this.
That place is here.
This desire to label is very human in us.
And when we label,
We are removing ourselves from the present moment.
We miss that moment.
When we label something from the past,
Even as small as the texture of a moment of breath,
The next moment of breath cannot be seen,
Cannot be held.
Cannot be felt.
So giving yourself grace here,
Knowing it will never be perfect because you are a beautiful human being.
And just experimenting with that here.
With full presence,
Holding the breath without labeling.
The felt sense.
And when you notice the mind trying to come back in,
It might be helpful to imagine the mind dropping into the heart.
To bring yourself back to the felt sense that can only exist in the moment.
Taking another minute right here,
Experimenting with this.
So much of our journey towards release is reminding ourselves how to be here and now instead of then and there.
Knowing that this little exercise here is always there for you to use.
When you'd like to work on strengthening that internal muscle of bringing yourself back to what's right here.
Naturally facilitating release by letting all else gently fall away.
If even just for a sliver of a moment.
And as you gently let that focus go,
Starting to allow the mind to rest even more.
Just like the body.
Maybe imagining the mind unwinding.
Releasing its internal mental grip.
On the day,
On the to-dos,
On the what-ifs.
And just letting the entire system soften.
Letting the mind find a calm,
Quiet resting place within your body today.
Where it can be for our time together.
This place within you where your calm lives.
Where your witness state lives.
This part of you that observes everything coming in.
Emotions,
Feelings,
Memories,
Any thoughts,
Any sensation.
And just noticing.
Not being attached to them but just seeing them as if from a distance.
Where is that place in your body today?
Knowing there's no wrong answers.
And just letting yourself soften into that place.
I'm going to use the next few moments to clear this space.
This moment.
Knowing that whenever you are listening to this recording,
That there is still a moment here that we are both in together.
Holding that knowing.
And letting the system soften and release.
Just a little bit more now.
As I usher in our Reiki symbols and clear this moment for us.
And just right away there is this visual coming in as I bring in the power symbol of a butterfly with one wing.
It's a special kind of butterfly though.
Because that other wing is like a phantom wing.
It's just been a little forgotten.
But it's there almost as if it's on another plane.
And it wants to come back.
It wants to regrow.
There's this inherent reminder in this sort of lopsided,
Beautiful creature.
That while power can seem so forward looking,
We need both sides of the coin,
Both edges of the sword,
The ying,
The yang,
The ebb,
The flow,
The left,
The right,
To have union.
Knowing that forward means nothing if there's not some other thing,
Peace,
That means backwards.
That's felt.
Knowing that our entire world is relative.
And we need both sides to make any side valid and true and real noticed.
And if we're only walking with our left foot,
We'll go in circles.
Just like this butterfly.
Knowing to actually have forward momentum in ourselves,
With our desires,
Our goals,
Our dreams.
It is imperative to also allow ourselves to see what we're currently moving through.
Where we've come from.
Sometimes a piece of that is happening right now.
And again,
While we can't label it,
While also being present with it,
We can let it just be.
Because some pieces of our puzzle are not yet fully formed.
And it is the most honorable thing to be in the information collecting phase of your life.
Without a clear next answer.
Without a clear knowing.
So what in your life are you pining for a clear answer?
And how can you just let the nuance be here too?
What can you soften into?
What piece of life right now are you not fully honoring the process of?
Or the journey of?
And hoping to just skip to the answer or the end.
Can you soften into what is alive here?
Nurturing what's here.
Even if some days that's the ebb,
Some days that's the flow,
Most days there's pieces of it all.
Nurturing what's here.
To facilitate that growth through that balance of power.
The balance of power.
And just taking a moment to relax any little muscles in the face,
The shoulders,
The belly that have tensed back up.
And letting them go.
As you breathe in softly,
Gently,
Kindly to this idea of nurturing what's here.
All parts,
The full ying and yang.
Breathing into that.
Letting that integrate in.
And we let that go.
Continuing to usher in any other reiki symbols.
Seeing if there's any other messages to be received here before moving on.
And the vision that's coming through with the mental and emotional symbol is this beautiful long sword.
Over your whole system,
Over the midline of the body.
And there's this jewel missing in the center of the hilt.
Right around the heart.
And perhaps you know what that jewel is.
Or maybe not.
A piece of your heart.
That isn't as present as you'd like.
And knowing that we don't have to know the answer.
But we can hold what's here.
So just starting to imagine this beautiful emerald green light.
In the center of the chest.
Maybe there is a jewel at the center there.
But this emerald shines.
Light radiates in all directions from it.
And just imagining here that each round of your breath fuels that light.
And it slowly,
Just naturally,
Gets larger and larger.
Encompassing the whole body after a few more breaths.
Just letting yourself visualize this.
And once that beautiful emerald green light encompasses your entire body.
Just holding that visual in your mind.
And as you hold it in your mind,
Can you soften any of those little muscles that have tensed back up?
And just think,
What would it be like if I felt this light around my body right now?
Can you let yourself feel that?
Can you let your consciousness open to that?
And soaking this in for just another breath.
Whatever this is for you.
And then imagining that every cell,
Every pore on in your body opens to receive this emerald green light.
Watching this light soak into you.
Into every corner of the body.
Under the chin.
In the armpits.
Behind the knees.
Between the toes and the fingers.
Everywhere.
Can you see it in your mind's eye?
Letting it soak in.
And just as you release that visual,
Returning to a few intentionally soft and slow breaths.
In and out.
Knowing there's no rush.
And then softly letting all that focus go.
Letting the mind find its way back into that quiet,
Calm,
Witness place within you.
And moving now to the crown of the head.
There's this desire in the head.
To move between the left and right sides of the brain.
This masculine,
Feminine,
Logical,
Creative.
It's this lateral movement.
It's in one place or the other.
And so we want to reorient that energy so it is vertical in the body.
Through your midline.
Through your shishumanati energy channel.
It's this reminder that even if we strengthen both the logical and emotional.
We need them to intertwine.
To really allow our intuition to come online.
Instead of moving between the two,
How can they work in tandem?
In any moment,
With any piece of information.
So there's another imaginal experience.
Coming in now.
And what I ask is that you start to imagine.
That your inhale moves in through the soles of your feet.
And that inhale travels up the back of the body.
All the way along the spine.
Through the back of the neck.
And that top of the inhale is at the top of the head.
And then the exhale circles around down the forehead.
And out the nose.
Kind of in this candy cane shape.
Now inhale through the soles of the feet.
Traveling up the back of the body.
All the way to the crown.
And exhale.
The breath circles to the front of the head.
And travels out the nose.
Just imagining your breath moves in this way.
For some that looks like letting the inner eye just scroll up and out the body.
Matching that inner eye movement to breath.
And for some,
Over time,
Or perhaps easily.
You'll be able to feel the breath moving in this way.
Where our awareness goes,
Energy flows.
So maybe there's a sensation that you notice rolling up your body and out with each breath.
Just noticing.
Just imagining this breath for a few more rounds.
Taking a quick moment to notice any muscles that have tensed back up.
In the face,
The belly.
Let them go.
And continue this breath for a few more rounds.
So good.
And now we're going to take a deep breath in.
And exhale.
And now we're going to take a deep breath out.
And inhale.
And now we're going to take a deep breath in.
And exhale.
And inhale.
And now we're going to take a deep breath out.
And exhale.

And now we're going to take a deep breath out.
And now we're going to take a deep breath in.
As humans staying engaged and enraptured in life,
Nothing grows and changes and sheds and realigns at the same pace as ourselves.
We are all on our unique path,
In our unique way.
And that truth ushers in inherent discomfort.
Because if we are to stay pursuing our path,
Our journey,
Cords will be cut,
Stories will be shifted,
Safety will shed.
And that's perfect.
And that's hard.
Both are true.
And where now can you also access a little moment of excitement for whatever this thing is that's being shed?
Maybe you access some gratitude,
Too.
This is the energetic pruning.
Cutting the lower branches so that more roses can bloom.
Softening any area of the face,
The belly that has tensed back up.
Moving the shoulders away from the ears again.
And letting your whole system,
Mind and body,
Soften into what is here.
And gently letting any little focus go.
Finding your way back into that calm,
Quiet,
Restful,
Witness state within you.
Thanking the body and the mind.
And slowly starting to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Just noticing the breath as it presents in the body right now.
And noticing now the body holding the breath.
This beautiful,
Unique vessel.
And noticing now where your body is meeting your support system beneath you.
The couch,
The bed,
The floor.
And starting to send your awareness to the corners of your room.
Without opening the eyes,
Just intuitively knowing exactly where they are.
Reminding yourself exactly where you are.
And knowing there is no rush to come back to the day.
But whenever you are ready,
Gently ushering light back into the eyes by blinking the eyes open.
Welcome back.
And see you soon.
