Good morning.
My name is Eden.
I am a meditation and mindfulness teacher.
And today I just want to explore a rabbit hole that I woke up thinking about today.
And I thought for the next 10 minutes we could enter this rabbit hole together.
So just go ahead and find an even longer spine wherever you're at.
And gently closing the eyes from top to bottom.
And opening together with a few slow,
Deep belly breaths.
Perhaps making those breaths even slower now.
And perhaps you release the jaw.
Relaxing the space between the eyebrows.
Maybe you find even more space between the ears and the shoulders.
Where can you find more space in the body to relax into?
And just like the muscles in the body,
We also release the day.
Letting the to-do list roll right off.
Leaving the could'ves,
The would'ves,
The should'ves at the door.
Allowing yourself to feel this protective shell around you loosen and relax as well.
So that you can meet the version of you that's here today.
Unencumbered by these external needs and desires.
Taking yourself out of any presumed boxes.
Who is present today?
And without putting too much pressure or focus on the rest of the day.
Just ushering in a little bit more of an intentional version of you.
That you know already exists.
That you've already felt in your system before.
How would you like to move through today?
And welcoming in that version.
Maybe that's just a pinch more of patience.
Maybe that's even more relaxation in the body and mind.
Maybe that's loving a little more overtly.
Maybe that's the version of you that doesn't settle for excuses.
Whoever they are,
Letting them be present now.
Taking a deep breath in and out,
Soaking this feeling in,
This version of you.
May we remember that our capacity to change is really more of this ability to reorient towards our true north.
We don't always have to burn it all down to become this new version of us.
In these small moments,
We don't always have to metamorphosize,
Turning from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
Perhaps instead,
In these small moments,
It's more like molting.
Of shedding our old skin that no longer fits to find one that is better suited,
More true.
Molting through each choice that we make,
Or each version of us that we intend to be in each day.
Allowing ourselves to be born anew,
Just like this new day.
Which also has never been before or looked the exact same.
Perhaps today we can let ourselves be that way too.
And perhaps even such small yet important ways that only we see it in ourselves first.
And perhaps even the change might be so subtle that only we see it in ourselves first.
And may that be more than enough.
So go ahead and take a few intentional,
Slow breaths into the system again.
Into this version of you that's meeting this day.
Filling up this version of you deeply,
Fully.
And letting the shoulders roll down the back.
And allowing the heart to shine forward just a little bit more.
Starting to embody this new yet wholly familiar self.
Feeling them in your system.
Feeling you in your body,
In your mind.
And whenever you're ready to rejoin this new self,
This new day.
Gently ushering light back in.
Blinking the eyes open.
Welcome to today.
