Closing your eyes,
Sitting or lying comfortably and breathing deeply.
Allowing your breath to be deep,
Slow and deliberate.
Focusing on your heart space.
Focusing on the center of yourself.
Probably notice as you bring your attention inward that your mind starts to chatter away and try to distract you from this moment.
If you find yourself becoming engaged with your thoughts,
Just gently let your thoughts go and bring yourself back to the present.
Remembering that you don't need to stop thinking entirely and that your thoughts can just come and go without you needing to worry about them or engage with them.
Allowing your body to fully relax into the surface underneath you.
Going back to your breath and letting your breathing become natural and effortless.
Calling in all of the people in your life who love and appreciate you.
You can include your beloved pets and you may also include people who are no longer alive.
Seeing their image just as you remember them.
Visualizing that all of these people are forming a circle around you and they begin to connect with the love and appreciation they feel for you.
As that love grows inside of them,
They radiate it out towards you like beams of warm golden sunlight.
Feeling the warmth of all the love and gratitude from all of these people.
As you receive this love,
Feeling safe,
Supported and accepted.
Even if some of these people surrounding you might not be able to fully express their love for you in real life,
Knowing that while they're here with you during this practice,
Their love is uninhibited,
Allowing yourself to feel appreciated,
To feel loved,
To feel respected and to feel supported and understood knowing that you are worthy of all of these things.
Enjoying this feeling as it grows within you.
Feeling where you experience this feeling within your body.
Does it feel like a warm fire in your heart?
Or does it feel like a spark in each and every one of your cells?
Paying attention to this feeling as it grows.
You might find that your natural instinct is to get distracted by the thoughts running through your mind or to pull yourself away from this feeling,
Especially if you're not used to feeling loved.
But I invite you to stay with it.
Keep this feeling going and allow it to stay at the same level.
Enjoying this love being beamed at you from all of these people.
Being completely cared for in every way.
Remembering,
You don't have to wait for someone or something outside of you to make you feel like this.
You can generate this sense of being loved and appreciated on demand whenever you wish,
Regardless of your circumstances right now.
Regardless of how many people make up that circle around you.
You can feel loved.
You can access this feeling of being loved.
And you can sustain that feeling and carry it with you.
Bringing your attention back to your breath now.
Allowing that feeling of being deeply appreciated to remain with you.
Feeling deeply to reconnect you with your body and slowly opening your eyes,
Returning to your day.
