Taking a deep breath to centre yourself.

Getting your body into a comfortable position for sleep and turn off any unnecessary lights or devices.

Just breathing gently now.

Relaxing any points of tension or tightness in your body and letting your thoughts drift peacefully into your mind and out again.

There's no need to think about anything else now.

Just letting your thoughts and worries go.

Preparing yourself to go on a visual journey.

Seeing yourself now on a secluded rocky beach as the sun is close to setting but still warm.

The air is still and you can hear the soft sounds of the water.

Notice yourself sitting in one of the rock pools.

Feeling the warm salty water around you.

As you soak in this crystal clear sparkling rock pool your body is absorbing the rich minerals from the sea water which heals and replenishes your body.

Taking away any discomfort and allowing your body to relax fully.

Getting out of the rock pool now ends drying yourself off.

Feeling soft and peaceful as you walk along the white sandy beach.

Feeling the warm sun against your back as it moves lower in the sky.

Turning to walk towards a grove of trees up over the sand dunes.

Just noticing one foot in front of the other as you walk through the sand.

And as you move off the beach you notice a wooden gate with an archway over the top of it.

Beyond the gate is a sandy path leading into a grove of trees.

Opening the gate and as you pass through your eyes adjust to the lower light amongst the trees.

The air is still and warm.

As you walk along the path gazing up at the tall trees and the clouds in the sky which are turning pink and orange as the sun sets.

You hear birds calling their evening song as you walk.

Feeling with the soles of your feet as the path beneath you becomes less sandy and more grassy as you walk further through the small forest of trees.

Ahead of you you can hear the faint sounds of trickling water.

You see a minor track heading off the main path and follow it towards a small stream.

Taking a moment to sit upon the grassy bank and listen to the water as it cascades over the tiny waterfalls.

Breathing,

Resting,

Listening,

Relaxing.

Leaving the stream now and turning back towards the main path once again.

And continuing as the path travels up some stone steps into a clearing with a bench in the middle of it.

On this bench you find a warm blanket which you can drape around you and take with you into the night if you wish.

Looking up into the darkening sky,

Noticing the first stars appearing and the bright colours of the sunset fading as the night sky emerges.

Taking a deep breath to welcome the night.

Turning behind you now to see a set of stairs,

Following them upward and finding a stone path that wanders through a garden filled with beautifully centred flowers.

The moon rises in the sky as you walk,

Allowing you to continue to see easily as you wander deep into the garden.

In the distance you can see a tall stone tower lit by candlelight walking towards it.

Feeling peaceful and relaxed as you gently drift through this beautiful garden.

And when you reach the tower you enter through a small archway and look up to see a staircase winding around the inside of the tower all the way to the top.

Now this tower will magically transport you up into the night sky and it will also make your body magically become smaller and lighter with every step you take.

You start your ascent one step at a time.

The candle at the bottom of the tower sends a warm glow around the stairs as you climb.

And with each step you become a tiny bit smaller.

This process of becoming a tiny version of yourself does not hurt you in any way.

You don't feel a thing.

And as you become gradually smaller the staircase also becomes smaller so that each step up is as effortless as the last.

If you feel yourself drifting off to sleep just letting yourself go.

If not continue climbing the stairs getting smaller and smaller until you finally reach the balcony at the top of the tower and step out through another arched doorway.

There waiting for you perched on the edge of the balcony is a majestic owl.

This peaceful owl invites you to take a seat on its back and nuzzle into its feathers and hold on tight letting go of any fears or disbelief knowing that you are safe.

Calling this mystical owl to take you on a journey into the night.

Then you may be awake.

If you feel tired,

Allowing your owl to carry you safely while you rest upon its feathers,

And if you're still awake,

Looking out as you fly through the starry night sky,

Noticing the shadows of the streets below,

And the shapes of the trees and clouds,

Feeling yourself drift into a deep state of tranquility as you fly through the night.

You've caught a glimpse of those Beautiful blue skies.

Remember that special Your tireless owl continues to fly onward towards a rocky cliff face.

As you approach the cliff you notice a dark opening ahead of you.

The owl flies directly into a dark tunnel.

There is no need to be afraid.

The tunnel is quiet and safe and dimly lit.

As you travel onward you become aware that you are now floating slowly forwards.

That you are no longer being guided by the owl.

Drifting along gently.

The end of the tunnel comes into sight.

You can see the moonlight on the silver clouds at the other end of the tunnel.

When you emerge back into the night sky you notice that you have been transported way up into the sky.

Far above the tree tops.

Here it's just you,

The clouds,

The stars and the moon.

Feeling weightless,

Not even aware of your body anymore.

You land softly on a cloud and instantly lie down and rest upon it.

Feeling warm,

Safe,

Peaceful,

Ready for sleep.

Knowing that this cloud will hold you while you sleep and help you to sleep soundly until the time that you need to wake.

Thinking deeper and deeper into your comfortable cloud bed.

In a perfect position.

In a perfect temperature.

Perfectly relaxed.

Ready to surrender and sink into a deep sleep.

And if you happen to still be awake.

Rejecting your memory to recount all the places that you've been on this journey to the sky.

Remembering that it is now your time to rest.

There is nothing to do but rest.

And sleep.

This is really beautiful. Soothing voice and magical. I played this in the middle of the night and it relaxed me enough I went to sleep. Thank you. Edit: I listened before sleep with more attention and I appreciate the magical joy like wonder and journey it took me on. I love the owl and flying off into the night sky. Itโ€™s like the same I experienced of imagination as a small child. Comforting. I started to drift off at the end.
