Pamela Rueda (CPRC | CPLC) is a trauma-informed Recovery Coach, Life Coach, and She Recovers Coach. Born in Mexico and based in the U.S., she’s spent over 16 years in recovery from alcohol, codependency, and the subtle, soul-draining patterns that keep people stuck. Her approach isn’t traditional. It’s rebellious. Identity-based. Rooted in nervous system repair and radical self-honesty. Pamela’s work is for those who look successful on paper but feel disconnected underneath. And for those who don’t look like they’re holding it together at all. The ones quietly suffering, numbing just to get through lives they can barely feel. Whether the pain is loud or quiet, chaotic or contained—her work speaks to the deep desire to burn the ships down and return to something real. Something you can be proud of. For Pamela, sobriety isn’t a sentence—it’s an upgrade. Not the end of fun or freedom, but the beginning of clarity, power, and self-respect. She teaches reclamation—the kind where you stop explaining yourself and start owning your life in a "deliciously selfish" way. She’s the founder of My Badass Recovery, an online platform where sobriety is just the entry point. Her community is made up of people who see recovery as a bold invitation to reinvent. Through meditations on Insight Timer, online courses, a podcast and private mentorships, Pamela creates pathways of deep transformation—the kind that don’t just help you quit, but help you become the most badass version of yourself.

I’m glad there’s no bell at the end. Interesting information about the third and tenth steps. It was a nice experience, listening to her, but this is really a talk, rather than a meditation. She talks quite a bit about turning my will & my life over to the care of a higher power and about reviewing my day to see where I need to amend my behavior. She talks about setting my intention at the first of the day. She doesn’t really delve into prayer and meditation though, which is what step eleven is actually about. And she never states step eleven. “Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, asking only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”

Thank you for this meditation, it articulated perfectly what I feel. I quit drinking one year ago, and on this anniversary I needed reminding that I am unearthing my true, lovable self. I realize that am not actually changed, rather I am finally truly me, the me that was buried by addiction, and I am shaking off fear and shame. Thank you!

This gives me hope of ending 20+ years of numbing myself. At age 28 I unknowingly married a narcissist who left ME after a decade of abuse and the pain flipped an autoimmunity “switch” and I was in the worst physical and emotional pain. I used cannabis for pain, for sleep and for depression. I am now 50 and I have been tapering off for 2 weeks and all the pain I numbed is here with a vengeance. Yesterday was the day I promised to stop and I didn’t make it…and I let my family think I did. I was so racked with guilt, shame and anger. This meditation hit differently and I realize I need to love myself in order to be successful. Thank you, Pamela. I will be listening to all your content for inspiration and encouragement through this journey.
