Trigger Warning: Content in this course includes references to spirits and the departed. During the "spooky season" of October/early November, the focus is often on the scary, but this is also a wonderful time to connect with our loved ones who have passed. Inspired by my exploration into my own Mexican lineage and the Day of the Dead, I created this course to explore the ways we can connect to and honor our loved ones in spirit. I use how I connect to my father who has passed as an example to help guide you. We will build this connection through journaling, meditation, creating an altar, and working with oracle cards.

Lektion 1

Establish Signs & Symbols

On Day 1, we will focus on establishing signs and symbols our loved ones in Spirit can send to us. We will move through short journal prompts to help us bring out the details we can use to select these signs and symbols, then we will connect to our loved one and share with them the three signs we would most like to receive from them.

Lektion 2

Create An Altar

On Day 2, we will focus on building an altar to honor our loved one in Spirit. We will use the responses we wrote to the journal prompts on Day 1 to help us decide which items to include. We will then connect to our loved one again and share with them our plans to create an altar (or if you already have an altar, share with them what you have created and what you plan to add to it).

Lektion 3

Write A Letter

On Day 3, we will write a letter to our loved one in Spirit. I will provide you with prompts to guide you through the process of writing this letter, but you can also feel free to write whatever is on your mind and heart. My prompts are merely a guide. We will then visualize sending this letter to our loved one.

Lektion 4

Visit With Your Loved One

On Day 4, we will go on a meditative journey to reunite with your loved one in Spirit. We will choose a place for us to meet, whether it is a real or imagined place, and visualize a reunion with them.

Lektion 5

Receive An Oracle Message

On Day 5, we will receive oracle messages from our loved ones in Spirit. I pull three oracle cards in response to three questions and share the messages. You will have an opportunity to reflect on the messages afterward.
